The car is supposed to be FWD, the game just doesn’t really support the drivetrain layout used by those cars so I had to go 100/0 AWD to emulate it, plus the 8.2L is just too big for the transaxle layout used ingame without making a ridiculously long front end.
If Automation won’t allow this kind of setup, then don’t do it. I don’t want people cheese the game with this kind of foolery.
Samurai bows back
I still feel stupid for not seeing 320km/h is the min requirement And here I thought “I want to make it balanced hehe” while making the car
Good luck to other candidates
Hold on, didn’t i submit my car.
Part 3 : Iron Racer
Some random parking lot in Tokyo, - 31st August 1999
Mr.B, Takaki, Uyeno, and Kingsley convened in Tokyo rather than Tsukuba to prepare for a night racing session. They summoned the remaining six club hopefuls to a random parking area near the C1 loop.
“You’re saving the finest for last, eh?” While carrying a bottle of Coke, Uyeno stated to Mr.B.
“There’s a reason they’re in last place, after all. I’ve heard these guys are even faster than the prior two sessions.” Mr.B responded.
“Shit. I mean, look at that car; it’s a pure race car.” Uyeno drew attention to the Seikatsu-Zacspeed YR-1 SZ2 LM.
‘Newsflash, Uyeno, it’s a race car.’ Takaki interjected herself into the conversation.
“Wai- what?” Is this even legal, Mr.B?" Uyeno inquired agitatedly.
“I mean, it’s street legal, therefore it’s permissible.” But, enough of the confusion, let’s take a short look at each of these vehicles." While Uyeno scraped and disrupted this Seikatsu automobile, Mr.B stated.
@Tzuyu_main & @chiefzach2018 - Seikatsu-Zacspeed YR-1 SZ2 LM.
“So, what do we think, lads? Race car in our club? No go or yes go?” Mr.B asked to the group.
Kingsley and Uyeno begrudgingly agree, although Takaki has reservations about this vehicle.
“Although I’d love to see this car for our club, the cops aren’t going to like it on the road. With a quick glance, they might be perplexed as to whether it is street legal or not. Then, when they asked to pull over this car, they’ll open the-” Takaki’s lips was covered by Kingsley’s hand.
“Let’s just get this over with, yeah Mr.B?” Kingsley then let go of his hand from Takaki’s mouth.
“And off we go to the owner.” Uyeno said while finishing off the Coke and threw it in to the nearby trash bin.
The YR-1 SZ3 LM is a race car under disguise. It got that race car interior and other race car bits but somewhat somehow, it’s street legal. How did they do it? The writers don’t know. All we know is it looks cool.
Anyways, the car is powered by turbocharged 4.4L V8 producing up to 678hp that is powered to the rear wheels only. Talking about a beast on the highway, eh? It claimed it go up to 431km/-
“Deal.” Uyeno swiftly gave the owner a handshake as others gave him that look. “Ha… yeah…” Uyeno took a step back and clumsily placed his hand down. Mr.B responded, “Continue.”
431km/h. The group knew this car is fast but not that stupidly fast, surprisingly. How did they achieved this? By not having a functional radiator thus the why it’s fast. They know having a barely functional radiator is no go with the evidence of some car that got declined with this same problem as before.
They sadly had to pass on this car that has great potential to be part of the club but got cut off by one problem. Mr.B bowed to the owner and on to the next car.
(Binned to due 1 cooling airflow thus having high speed, lovely car but had to go.)
@variationofvariables - 1999 Sendo GT BAYSIDE
“Oh, Sendo GT, I heard about these jerks. I recall this car having a V12 convertible form. Stock, I’d say it’s a really cool car.” According to Kingsley.
“It looks fantastic, and I enjoy it. I hope it goes well as well.” Takaki made a comment.
“I’ve heard this one has the same V12 in it, so let’s chat to the owner.” Mr.B said.
According to the owner, the car is powered by a turbocharged 6.0L V12 delivering up to 860hp. It’s more powerful than the race car next to it, and it’s also quick. It can reach 401km/h with a functional radiator. The club applauded when they realised that this automobile could move so fast without using any tricks.
Bonus point: the owner is the daughter of some prominent engineers, and his father was convicted in Germany in 1998 for speeding, so the gang is likely to absorb her into the club so they can ask the her dad to perform tuning for them.
“Well, you are in for Yatabe test track session. Your car is perfect in every way and really fast too.” Mr.B shook hands and gave a business card to her.
@Xepy - Kaufmann Ataraxia Coupe 6.4
“Well, didn’t expect a full-size luxury coupe to join us. I’m sure this caris as powerful as the Sendo GT judging by the looks of it.” Uyeno made a remark.
“I’ll give them credit for creating a fast-tuned luxury coupe. That’s not something you see every day.” Kingsley giggled.
“Cruising on highway with cool glass on.” Mr.B sarcastically made a comment. “Right, we shall onwards to the owner.”
Ataraxia Coupe is powered by turbocharged 6.4L V12 producing up to 810hp, bigger engine but lesser power than Sendo GT but still really powerful engine, though. The car claimed it can go up to 368km/h, not 400km/h fast but still pretty dang fast for a luxury coupe that still retains all of the factory luxury features.
“Mr.Hideyoshi, you are qualified for the Yatabe session. Really love your car, by the way.” Mr.B shook hands with the owner then gave a business card to him.
@yurimacs - 1998 Bradford R855 GT1
“And we received another race car, but this one appears to be a street legal rather than the man from the previous one. In any case, I’m not complaining.” Kingsley chimed in.
“But I don’t like how the headlight bulbs protrude like that. It just looks strange.” Takaki stated.
“Guys, come on. Never heard of Bradford?. They always produce crazy-looking cars with crazy-fast performance. I have great expectations for this vehicle.” Mr.B moved over to the owner, while the others simply stared at the automobile from various angles, expressing their awe at the vehicle.
R855 GT1 is powered by turbocharged 6.5L V12 producing up to 854hp, more powerful than Ataraxia and a bit less powerful than Sendo GT. But Bradford is being Bradford, the car can go up to 441km/h. How the hell do they achieve this kind of speed? The power of Bradford’s magic, i guess.
Mr.B shooks hand with the owner giving that he is accept this car and gave business card to him.
@interior - Schnell L6 3.5 LSi
lol no, the car’s too slow and i ain’t reviewing this.
Also, look at this engine tuning and look how bad it is.
@EnCR - Avantii Antifa Gold Phoenix
“Final hours, final car. We’ve got an American muscle car.” Takaki said.
“American cars and that colour scheme? Instantly good for me. Match perfectly with my Denver.” Kingsley commented.
Mr.B walked towards to the owner and he learned that the car is powered by really huge turbocharged 7.0L V8 producing up to 684hp. With the engine this big and not alot of power, it is indeed American moment. It’s their specialty. But is the car fast then? The car claimed it can go up to 346km/h and you know what, it’s not that fast or that slow but still pretty fast for the group. Sure it got that big V8 but still fast.
Mr.B sh- blah blah blah, you get the point i don’t know what to write here anymore idk lol.
“Annd that’s all the car that we all reviewed. I must say i was pretty happy that some good candidates are interested to our club.” Mr.B said.
“And let’s celebrate with a drink of Coke that i have in my car! We won’t be drinking or doing anything else since we’re racing tonight.” Takaki immediately dashed to her car to provide a box of Coke to the group. The group applauded and sipped the Coke.
REVIEW END, NEXT STOP : YATABE TEST TRACK
Part 4 : Hyper Groove
Yatabe Test Track, Tsukuba - 4th September 1999
Mr.B and Kingsley were on the track for their last inspection of the cars they had chosen from earlier parts. The other two were unable to attend since they were required to work additional hours at their workplace. Although i’m just too lazy to write all 4 characters in this part oops
As time passed, all of the final candidates arrived at the track and parked their cars in the lot outside the test track. Kingsley invited the participants to come around them because they had an announcement to make.
“Alright, ladies and gentlemen. I hope you had a wonderful day and are in a good mood! Because this is the final act! I hope you didn’t use any type of trickery to cheat or dirty methods to get an easy win. One of our club’s mottos is “honesty is the best policy.” And-” Kingsley unexpectedly fired Mr.B.
“Blah, blah. Long remarks are also not part of the motto. Anyway, I hope you have a good day, and remember that we offer free meals in that facility over there.” Kingsley pointed at the nearby building. “One more thing, please come forward once we call your name.” Following that, Kingsley grinned and other contestants stepped back and hung out in the area.
“Free meals for them are not part of our strategy here, Kingsley!” Mr.B said
“What? Even if you don’t like it, I can pay for them.” Kingsley responded.
“Yeah, but seriously?” Mr.B gave Kingsley a ‘what the hell’ look.
It didn’t matter to Kingsley, so he brushed it off. “Anyway, we should notify the organiser now that we’re ready to do some test runs.”
Some several minutes passed by
“Alright, you can call up the first contestants now.” Mr.B said as he finishes a slice of sandwich that he brought from the nearby vending machine.
Kingsley took out a megaphone that he took from the test track’s office. “Alright, our first contestant is…”
“Oh, before that, did we ask all of the candidates to put up the GPS speed meter that we provided them?” Mr.B inquired of Kingsley.
“Yeah, I handed it to everyone from the box you brought.” Kingsley responded by blasting a megaphone in MrB’s face “Anyways, our first contender is…”
Haniyasushin Monaaku RO Special - @TheAlmightyTwingo
“All right, when you’re ready, you may go crazy on the track, but be careful!” Mr.B remarked to the car’s owner.
The driver floored the vehicle as the flagman waved the green flag, thanks to the car’s muscular and awesome-sounding 6.4L V12. They can hear the V12 roar around them as the car performs a high-speed lap around the circuit.
“Your top speed is 327 km/h, and your lap time is 1:20:11. Not bad for a large vehicle like yours.” Mr.B smiled at him and jotted down the information in his notebook. “All right, let’s get our next candidate.”
“Aaalright, our next player is…” Kingsley shouted at the megaphone
Ossan - Zenkaze - @conan & @z2bbgr
Mr.B gave the driver a thumbs up, indicating that everything is good to go. The flagman has raised the green flag, and the driver has taken the first turn. The nice and loud 2.8L turbocharged inline 6 blasts down the course as the vehicle conducts the top speed trial.
As the car passed the checkered flag and stopped at the pit stop, Mr.B gave the final results to him.
“333km/h and 1:19:86. Faster than the first guy.” Mr.B jotted down the results.
“Our third beauty pageant is…” Kingsley shouted.
Neko Maneki Sport Wangan Special - @Mikonp7
The car did some wheelspin off the starting line as the flagman waved the green flag, and away it goes! The 2.3L turbocharged inline 6 engine provided a pleasing sound as the driver changed gears down the circuit.
Mr.B typed down the final results when the car crossed the finish line.
“336km/h and 1:17:78… These people never let me down.” Mr.B said.
“Next up is…” Kingsley said.
(K610) Kaizen SC34s 6MT engineer’s special - @66mazda
“I just saw how ridiculously thick the back tyre is; how large is it? It looks more than 300mm-” Mr.B. interrupted Kingsley.
“It’s 355mm.”
“Holy shit, it’s really thick.” With a startled tone, Kingsley responded.
As the car peel some rubber off the line, the growly and aggressive tone from turbocharged 4.5L V8 screams down the circuit.
One lap around the track later, the car passed the finish line and the time is…
“342km/h and 1:18:79. It got that top speed but one second slower than Maneki Sport. But still, impressive for a sedan like this.” Mr.B said.
“Step right up! Our next potential candidate is…” While making a statement, Kingsley gives the impression of a circus act.
Ursula R1 600S x4 (1994) “Midnight Racer” - @BannedByAndroid
“Oh, a V10 car. Some V10 car have a great sound to them.” Kingsley stated this while still shouting down Mr.B over the megaphone.
“My ears are even better than they were before, Kingsley.” With a mocking tone, Mr.B gently lowered Kingsley’s megaphone.
With a great launch from the a great female driver behind this car at the starting line, the somewhat small 4.8L V10 by V10 standards screams down the road.
“WOOO YEAH I LOVE THAT.” Kingsley yelled at the car over the megaphone, as others at the pit stop stared at him strangely.
“1:13:28 and 350km/h. You know, that girl really know how to pick a car and tune it very well.” Mr.B said.
“She certainly does.” While Kingsley continues to use the megaphone to him, Mr.B is simply too indolent to recognise it at this time.
“Alright, our next runner is…” Kingsley announced.
Sendo Solaire LX [ Kin no kaze ] V3 - @Falling_Comet & @That-S-cop
“A big iconic Sendo sedan… I have high hopes on this.” Mr.B claimed.
The turbocharged 4.0L inline 6 is tearing down the road as the huge sedan takes off.
“Annnd 347 km/h and 1:17:20.” As the car approached the finish line, Mr.B stopped the stopwatch.
“How does he compare to Monaaku from the first run? They’re both large sedans, and this one is faster, but we’ll see how it plays out in the end.” According to Kingsley.
TO BE CONTINUED...
Part 5 : Fast Phobe
Zephorus Kigore V8 Wangan Edition - @Riley
“I am certain that this car will be the fastest on the circuit.” Kingsley chimed in.
“I mean, the owner did say this car is quick as hell, so we’ll see if that’s true or not.”
The flagman waved the green flag to the driver. After one loop around the track, the time is…
“ANNND 376KM/H at 1:12:30. Yes, I don’t think anyone else will be able to catch up to this car. I mean, Ursula R1 is just one second slower than tUrsula R1. They’re both putting up a strong fight, which is fun to see.” Mr.B stated as he scribbled down the outcome.
“I think this one is high up on the list. For sure.” Kingsley remarked.
Solana GT Turbo Modified - @Serperior98
“Claimed it can go up to 339km/h. Of course, it can’t go against the last guy but let’s just give a run anyways. Maybe it’s good” Mr.B said.
The car rips off the line as the waveman waved the green flag and around the loop it goes…
As the car passed the finish line, the result is…
" 1:18:68 and 332km/h. Just a few milisecond faster than Kaizen SC34s. Another good fight between them." Mr.B commented.
Hinode Carrier Deluxe - @S_U_C_C_U_L_E_N_T
“Ah shit, the Hamco has arrived. The wicked lad who is quick and can transport a large number of people.” Kingsley chimed in.
“And it’s very amazing that the owner has spent a lot of money and work on this van in order for it to reach speeds of over 320km/h. I have to give him credit for it.” Mr.B said.
Mr.B gave the signal to go to the starting line. The two lads were taken aback as the driver revved up the van with a 4.7L V8.
“It’s not every day you see a van with a V8! That is, Japanese vans. Tsk tsk, Americans don’t count.” Kingsley chimed in.
The van launched from the line and off it goes! After few minutes around the track and off the finish line, the van’s result is…
1:16:74 and 331km/h top speed.
“Not bad, only 1km/h faster than the reported peak speed from the owner. I’m sure this vancould go faster.” Mr.B made a remark as he used the stopwatch to set time from the van.
1999 Sendo GT BAYSIDE - @variationofvariables
“Ah Sendo GT. My brother owns 2 of them and he really loves them. One of him and the other is for his wife. Sat in one and it’s just so good.” Mr.B said.
“Are we done complimenting this car yet? Anyways, seeing it can claimed it can go up to 403km/h, I bet it can against Kigore. I have high hopes on this.” Kingsley said.
The Sendo lined up to the starting line and as the flagman waved the green flag, the Sendo hits the accelerator hard and producing a nice wheelspin off the line. As Sendo GT goes around the track, the time is…
“Holy fucking shit, 1:11:25 AND 383km/h…” Mr.B surprised looking at the end result.
“Yeah, this totally blew Kigore out of the water, no doubt.” Kingsley said.
Kaufmann Ataraxia Coupe 6.4 - @Xepy
“Another good contender, although it’s not as fast as Kigore and Sendo GT, still pretty fast for a boat like this.” Mr.B said.
As Ataraxia went off the line after the flagman waved the flag, the 6.4L V12 screams around the track, causing some birds to fly away when the car passed by their tree. When it got to the finish line, the time is…
“356km/h and 1:14:96” said by Kingsley.
“Not bad, not bad at all for a car like this. So, the next car is the last car, right?” asked Mr.B to Kingsley.
“Yep. After that, we gonna make a test or questions, rather. That how reliable their car is.” Kingsley replied.
1998 Bradford R855 GT1 - @yurimacs
“Bradford… Batshit crazy cars that are out of this world.” Kingsley made a remark.
As the green flag was waved, the vehicle lined up at the starting line, and the 6.5L V12 screamed and did a fair amount of wheelspin. The car’s time and speed as it travelled around the circuit were 1:08:30 and 403km/h.
“Hah, Bradford never ceases to amaze me.” Mr.B made a remark.
“What, you’re not startled and acting like a monkey after what happened to Sendo GT last time?” Kingsley inquired.
“Because I wasn’t expecting Sendo GT to be so quick. I didn’t anticipate this car to be this quick.” Mr.B responded to Kingsley’s question.
NEXT STOP : YATABE PIT STOP OR CAR LOT IDK WHERE
Part 6 : The End
Main office building in Yatabe Test Track - 4th September 1999
“All right, all of the contestants’ runs are now complete, and uhh… let’s do our final opinions on these cars, eh?” After a late-evening meal break, Kingsley said to Mr.B while holding a steaming cup of coffee.
“I have all of their car’s details in my tiny notepad.” Mr.B responded while eating a doughnut. He then grabbed each contestant’s photo from the run and placed it on the table, along with information about each of them.
Haniyasushin Monaaku RO Special : Top Speed on Yatabe - 327kmh / 1:20:11. Note: The slowest of the bunch, yet impressive for such a large car. Although it has high practicality and can hold a lot of items, it is not our choice because there are better choices.
Ossan - Zenkaze : Top Speed on Yatabe - 333kmh / 1:19:86. Note: 2nd slowest of the bunch. Really love the styling on this sedan. Giving me Peugeot vibes somehow. But shame as it has same problem as the previous car. Nice amount of practicality on this car but slow for us. Not our choice here.
Neko Maneki Sport Wangan Special : Top Speed on Yatabe - 336kmh / 1:17:20. Note: What a mouthful name for a car like this. 8th fastest car on the track and for me, it is pretty slow for a car that looks like a race car. If the owner gave more power and time on this car, it can hit top 5 on the list but shame, this one had to go.
(K610) Kaizen SC34s 6MT engineer’s special : Top Speed on Yatabe - 342kmh / 1:17:78. Note: Another mouthful name for a car but this one is from an official Kaizen hench which is surprising for them to take interest on our club. Probably for PR stuff but as cool as they are, they are 3rd slowest of the bunch. Really cool practical sedan but slow for us. Had to decline their offer for their PR.
Ursula R1 600S x4 (1994) "Midnight Racer" : Top Speed on Yatabe : 350kmh / 1:13:28. Note: What’s up with people obsessed with novel long name on their car? Anyways, 4th fastest car in the list. Pretty impressive for a GT car like this and i kinda like the guy behind the wheels. Got interesting story and seem pretty nice guy to hang out with us. Possibility for our club.
Sendo Solaire LX [ Kin no kaze] V3 : Top Speed on Yatabe : 347kmh / 1:17:20 Note: One of the two Sendo brothers that join our run. But for a big sedan like this, it’s one of the fastest 4 sedan in the list and pretty practical too. Can fit alot of spare wheels in the back seat and other computery bits for night run. Possibility for our club.
Zephorus Kigore V8 Wangan Edition : Top Speed on Yatabe: 376kmh / 1:12:30 Note: 3rd fastest car in the run. What can i say than it’s pretty fast and has identical practicality to Ursula R1. Really love the looks of it, though. Possibility for the club.
Solana GT Turbo Modified : Top Speed on Yatabe: 332kmh / 1:18:68. Note: 4th slowest in the list. I don’t get that feeling on this car as it’s just average fast car to me. Not fast but atleast it can fit some stuff in it. This one had to go.
Hinode Carrier Deluxe : Top Speed on Yatabe: 331kmh / 1:16:74. Note: You know what, i am really impressed from this van as it’s not low on the list. It just sit perfectly in the middle in the list. List aside, i just love the idea of someone took a regular van and make it fast, stupid yet it works here! Obviously it can fit alot of stuff in it so what else? Possibility for the club.
1999 Sendo GT BAYSIDE : Top Speed on Yatabe: 383kmh / 1:11:25. Note: 2nd fastest car in the list and these Sendo brother always make me smile as they are impressive in each of their respective area. One’s a fast practical sedan and one is the fastest car ever. For a car like this, practical ain’t that bad it seems. Possibilty for the club.
Kaufmann Ataraxia Coupe 6.4 : Top Speed on Yatabe: 356kmh / 1:14:96. Note: 5th fastest car in the list and fastest boat too. Another impressive big car that has higher place in the list. Practicallity is just your standard luxury coupe but atleast it can fit some of the stuff in there. Possibility for the club.
1998 Bradford R855 GT1 : Top Speed on Yatabe: 402kmh / 1:08:30. Note: Literally the fastest car on Earth. McLaren F1? Pfft, it’s like a Corolla at that point. Jokes aside, really love to have this car in our club but i worry about police noticing this on the road and seeing it’s waaay out from the law. But seeing we have our own little devil in our club, why not? Possibility for the club.
"So, 7 eligible cars that are perfect for our club eh? All of them are really good, though. Especially the Hinode Carrier one. I mean it’s a pretty dang fast van that nobody expects it!* Kingsley commented.
“Yeah you do have a point there about the van. Pretty impressive for the van. But let’s not just focus on the van, focus others too and discuss about others, alright?” replied by Mr.B
A few minutes from the discussion later
“Right, we’ve got our ideal candidate now, and we can contact them right now, putting our sticker on their windshield and preparing for tonight’s run back to Tokyo.” Mr.B told Kingsley.
“I mean, why not, since you have their phone number?” Kingsley responded.
The Ideal Candidate
Congrats to @variationofvariables for winning this long ass competition! Sorry if i kept you guys waiting for the results as real life things happened but it was tough as all of the finalist are good! I could’ve pick them all but only one for now.
And thanks for those who participate in this challenge! All of you did a great job on the car except one person but shame, i had to let them go. As for other finalist, i congrats to you all with free cookies!
