Crazy to think that these guys are 70 years old. They certainly don’t sound like it.

This stuck in my head when it was used in the Jeep Renegade commercial when that car came out…

This lives rent free in my head. I can’t stop listening to it.

I really like the calm, cozy vibe of this song. Feels like sitting in a room lit mainly by a fireplace, and listening to old stories, living a simpler life.

I listened to this over 60 times in a row the other day… When I’m not listening to it I’m singing it. Send help.

It’s not that I have a hilarious story including this song, a rusty white Stanza with some of 1998s finest stereo equipment driven by some sleazy metalhead and an old man on a bicycle almost being scared to a heart attack or something…

The year of release of this remarkable song is 1984

From my favorite movie, the Great Gatsby

On the subject of KISS, here’s my favorite song from them - another song made famous by GTA Vice City Stories:

This, along with Rock & Roll All Nite and I was Made for Lovin’ You, are among their best songs ever, period.

The music video for this is just fantastically done.

After revisiting Ace Combat 7, one song from its soundtrack stands out more than anything else:

This is the 30-minute extended version (the original song is just over 5 minutes long), and only now have I realized how well it goes with many forms of motorsports (F1, WEC, IndyCar, Australian Supercars, etc) - if the first minute is about the pre-race build-up, formation lap, and race start, then everything from that point onwards to the 2:30 mark covers the bulk of the race itself; from then on up to the 3:45, the intensity of the music conveys the excitement of the climactic final lap(s), and after that, a further change in tone evoking the finish and post-race ceremony. The fact that I am listening to it at the same time as I am watching the official review of the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans - the most exciting edition of the greatest endurance race in the world since 1995 - is icing on the cake.

In fact, listening to it while playing a modern sim racing game (especially a late-game event) is guaranteed to make your session feel much more intense than usual.
