Just curious on the type of options we will have for adjusting the supercharger. I could see pulley size to adjust the boost, perhaps impeller size?
I know it a long ways off, and frankly the forced induction/engine revamp is something I am most looking forward to even more so than the completed tycoon section.
Honestly we don’t know that yet. We’ll do the research and testing of the game mechanics once we do the revamp, we got other things to occupy our little brains with at the moment.
I would expect it’d basically be supercharger type (screw, roots, centrifugal), overall supercharger size, and then pulley ratio. I can’t imagine there would be much more than that (besides intercooling etc) but that’s a matter for later anyhow.
Don’t forget to add max rpm for the different types of superchargers.
For example: most Eaton hi-helix have a max rpm of 18000, due to the bearings.
I think that may be a bit more advanced than it seams, especially for the user who doesn’t know much about cars.
I think just having type, overall size, pulley ratio, and of course intercoolers would be enough. The supercharger should have a point at which it will reduce durability due to rpm until it just breaks. (just like the pistons, con rods, and crankshaft do already)
Yep my thinking is probably limitations on boost (heat) and supercharger RPM, based on design & quality
