What will you do when the feature complete (V6, Boxer 4, I5, tycoon, etc.) Automation comes? This isn’t a thread for asking 'WhEn WiLl My EnGiNe CoMe OuT!11!!!1!", it’s a thread for telling What will YOU do? when the game comes feature complete.
Me?
I’ll probably make a rear-mounted RWD ‘nine-one-one’ recreation with my own touch of a Boxer 4 Turbocharged engine making 800 hp.
What about you?
When the complete Automation comes out? I’ll take a holiday
V16 Supercharged Hot Hatches anyone?
I’d make a joke about your holiday being to just play the game, but I bet that might actually happen!
Personally I’ll be still working on different ideas for challenges, all the while still never actually running them.
If anyone wants to know, I was thinking of one based around extreme off-roading (think Smuggler’s Run), where you were supposed to make a car using the following:
80 RON fuel (low-grade fuel)
50000 km MTBF
< 30 Loudness
< $1250 Material Cost
< $2000 Service Cost
10% Economy
The catch was that while you were supposed to get better than all these stats, it wasn’t because it was to conform to rules but rather to get time bonuses (or penalties!).
Recreate British Leyland, but this time try to be successful, yeah I know impossible
RR legacy of citycar, from 1946 to 2020.
See if I can make a successful company without ever building anything other than I6’s.
After that, start a company in Australia and see if I can keep it manufacturing locally past 2017.
After that, probably just try to make the biggest company possible.
Simple, a 22 liter Twincharged Hybrid V16 50’s coupe with a 6’6ft wing, should do 500mph in a quarter mile if i drive it personally
Start in the region that contains uruguay (preferably montevideo) and try to succeed with no outsourcing and be the dominating car maker of Latin America.
Also stick religiously to rwd and have one model that I will keep it for as long it makes sense to like the Hindustan Ambassador, and such modele will have incrementally better engines.
anyone fancies a 1940’s styled car with direct inyection, VVT and VVL?
Be something like a succesful Dutch company, that has the same kind of vehicles like Mitsubishi during the 80s and 90s.
See if I can make a luxury brand for the Scandinavian area of the world that beats the Germans at their own game.
Note I am British but I like Saab and Volvo so I’d like to kind of imitate them.
I will try to design a better JDM 6G72 engine so I can actually use it in my real car

I have a new one: specialize my company with the production of cheap super cars and expensive hyper cars. The idea is more along the lines of kit car-esque super cars and then proper driver’s machines.
I hope to focus on low tech, easy to maintain, cheap and reliable sporty cars. I plan on keeping ladder frame, solid rear axle setups powered by pushrod engines going as long as I can. My engines tend toward 30- 40 man hours with as low a service cost as possible. The latest car I made automationgame.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=3684#p34943 is what I want to make all the time, cheap low tech fun cars.
wanna see if i can build a successful company using only V16s and I3’s… 2 liter V16 sounds like a freaking hoot
I’ll try to experiment with various strange combinations of engine sizes, mounting and car shapes, and see will they be successful sellers. Also will try to make car with smallest engine possible
I will make a brand that will stick to the same concept, like Subaru did.
Also I like the idea of affordable super car. Might do that around 90’s.
I’d probably stick to (turbo) i4’s, supercharged V6’s and make affordable cheap sporty cars, not sure if that’d create enough revenue though
i don’t see how it wouldn’t considering the fact that we got a metric ton of British roadsters some 40 - 50 years ago and plenty of Japanese ones since the 80’s
