What will your first V12 creations be?

Me personally, I will be creating fucknormous luxury yachts, and extremely small transverse mid engine mounted V12 cars.

Oh and of course I will be taking a van and putting an 3.5L F1 style V12 in it for shits and giggles.

take this: viewtopic.php?p=88101#p88101 and drop in a V12, then maybe later for the lolz a V12 minivan

Group C car.

Van

SUV

Super/hyper.

Think I’m going to try my hand at a Aston Martin style Premium GT coupe. With my company’s standards for fuel economy and pricing. So 25 mpg 400+HP v12 luxury coupé for less than $75k… Yeah that’s gonna take a while.

Nightfury.

As it had always intended to be, with a Lamborghini inspired V12. Except producing a loooot more power.

The most luxurious and comfortable car… in the world. (Iurlaro Teodora)

The V12 is probably the motor that interests me the least - I’m much more looking forward to the straight-3 we’ll get next (I think), and I’m hoping reeaally hard for straight-twins and the V4.

That said, I’m going to try to make one of these…

4.560 x 3.580 bore and stroke, 702 CID, ~1500 lbs, and over 200 horsepower.

I used to have the 351 inch V6 in a school bus I had years ago, the 702 is literally two of them.

the Blastolene in that article looks f***ing awesome

As Solstice is a luxury performance brand, you can expect to see some pretty insane V12 cars from us.

i’m gonna try to make the smallest V12 possible, to go as fast as possible on the green hell

My first V12 creation? Hmm, non-production limited minimum 1150 hp hypercar to replace Airborne Cerberus, still thinking about the name.

Gonna drop the biggest one I can in my 1955 luxury coupe. Very nice prestigious luxury car.

Then I’m going to build a new version of my super coupe with the engine it’s supposed to have.

Putting a 5.5L V12 in a 10’s coupe body!

I’ll probably start with a 5-ish liter V12 for a grand tourer - something with acres of smoothness to go with the power. Probably roundabout 1990, because I like retro builds and V12s were coming back into vogue in that time period, and probably on a body that has a 4-door option so I can make a pure luxury sedan trim as well.

For testing reasons, I will likely play with 1.5L V12s V8s and V6s and an I4 just to see the gap in power / weight difference

@Lordred: Ooh, I like that idea! I’ll probably go for 3L rather than 1.5L, but yeah - that’s a cool way of comparing advantages and disadvantages.

Ya, I plan to build combos of each size

~10% Undersquare
Square
~10% Oversquare

Example
75.4mm x 84.0mm I4
78.2mm x 78.1mm I4
81.1mm x 72.6mm I4

That kinda stuff…

What I built today…

V12 FTW

V12s really are game-changers - they have ludicrous amounts of smoothness for displacement. It’s awesome.

Not to mention, a large displacement V12 is rather prestigious. Luxury cars love V12’s.
