Speaking of brain fog, I have no idea how I missed your cars! I just uploaded them and will run them through the spreadsheet to apply your Quality Bonus, in case you have time to upgrade your Time Trial car.
I have to leave in a rush. Your car bonus is 2. You can add that to your R version and make changes to match. When I get back, I’ll update the blog posts with your cars. Sorry about that!
Totally no worries, everything’s all good, I’m just happy to be able to race
A few more fixes and features have been deployed. If you notice anything wrong, try reloading the page. If the issue persists, let me know.
To wrap up the day, the last two blog posts have been updated with the new entry and the revised CBC. I’m not sure if I mentioned this before, but the factory car order in the blog was based on sales, while the Time Trial version was sorted by the Track demographic score.
I think you’re using the engine power stat, which is similar to but not always the same as crank power in kW. My preference is to use kW or hp, not the stat.
I just confirmed it’s a conversion issue. Kreator nailed it. I switched the in-game settings, and everything fits now.
I’ll update the spreadsheet to convert the dataset values back to horsepower.
All set! If everything goes as planned, we’ll be live tomorrow at 1:00 PM GMT on the TV8 channel on YouTube.
Going Live!
You’re a vastly better Beam driver than I am. Especially for the first time muscling this temperamental beast around the track, I’m impressed you only wrecked it towards the end. Best believe the factory’s accumulated quite a pile of expensive scrap metal from prototype testing.
I couldn’t sign in to YouTube to mention two things: don’t use first gear except to take off, and the fast corner can be taken at 260+ (I’ve seen 275, mind you with a keyboard) if you enter it at a steady speed.
I’m curious how Automation’s estimates compare to the results. My CBC prototype - far, far easier to drive than this monstrosity - got 2:11 officially and 2:15 with my hamfists. The Jawad, on paper, runs 1:59.something, though obviously is harder to get anywhere near that. I don’t know what my best time with it was - likely 2:20ish - but I do know that completing even a warm lap in it was exceptional; most attempts left on a towtruck, if not a recycling bin. Or several bins and a body bag.
Much better audio mix than last time!
This is going great as an event. Keep it up!
Awww, the poor lil car had too big of a bite it seems… I’ll fix it for the future race, don’t you worry. CBC 's first race went as expected here.
Thanks for the compliments. That crash almost seemed intentional. I tryed to keep the foot down after hitting the left wall, to try and finish the lap, but it went from bad to worse.
I’m so sorry man. The car had great potential for a podium. I should have taken it easier.
Thank you all again for participating! All the cars were great, each with its own unique characteristics.
Reminder: The next deadline is on the 3rd for the City Streets Rally.
Special shoutout to @Kreator. Not only did they help us solve the power dilemma, but he also created a masterpiece for the tracks. Congratulations!
On the technical side, the sound seems to have improved, but on my end, the image quality is pretty poor. Are you experiencing the same issue? If so, I’ll try to fix it.
Up next: the blog post with results, ranking calculations, and website updates. Stay tuned!
You’re all good, it’s now a memorable story. CBC is glad you’re steel alive with that aluminum coffin
Yes, video quality is quite poor. I think it can be fixed by increasing bit rate
Anyways, we had to use another CBC Carrier now, it does have a pretty color this time! A more basic model that was stripped of what it had, but now with a 1.5 Flat-Hex engine, the Mk2 R! Beefier breaks, softer suspension (For the streets rally) and bigger wheels!
