WOSSOM: Join Anytime! (Speed Record Submissions now closed. Live competiton on the 12nd)

The regal aviator was originally a GT prototype, but put it into Sport and made it much cheaper in order to get it some quality sliders later on. If you can make a hit in the luxury field, you could modify it enough to make it race worthy! but like rafles said its up to you to determine what is best for your company.

Also, I believe the middle one would be best to modify into something cheaper. the others would realistically lose their looks and flair if you try to make it cheaper. The middle also seems like a good balance between consumer car and luxury car. Either way I’m excited to see what you submit!

Redline Trio Special: Truffle Motors Mako, Morosa’s Multi-Entry Move, Rafael’s Wossom Integration, and Designer Talk

1. Truffle Motors Mako Release: A New Challenger Arrives

Rusty:
(Smiling thoughtfully)
“Truffle Motors has brought the Mako to the table, and it’s definitely a head-turner. The looks score lands at a 1.5, and while the original color scheme is bold, I managed to catch a glimpse of a more refined version during my morning jog. This one had a deep purple paint job—not quite subdued, but certainly more ‘sophisticated’ than the first submission.”

*Sorry for tinkering with your creation, William

Tati:
(Nodding)
“Rusty and his early morning car sightings! But beyond the paint, the Mako has some serious performance chops. With a 7.0L V16 pushing 340.3 horsepower, this car is no slouch. It hits a top speed of 227 km/h with a 0-100 km/h time of 11.44 seconds. Sure, the fuel economy is on the low end at 3.8 km/L, but if you want power like this, you’ll have to pay the price in fuel.”

Benny:
(Leaning in with a smile)
“True, Tati. With 540.3 Nm of torque, the Mako has the grunt to get things moving. It’s got a solid foundation, and despite the paint being a point of debate, it’s hard to argue against the performance and overall design. A promising entry from Truffle Motors, no doubt!”

2. Morosa’s Multi-Entry Move: What’s Coming?

Tati:
“So, Morosa seems to be weighing in on multiple entries. They’ve teased some exciting potential cars, each one looking quite premium. As Morosa hinted, they’re considering a pre-war leftover, a flagship Personal Luxury Wagon, and possibly de-hotrodding a smaller number. Interesting strategy!”

Rusty:
(Chiming in)
“Yeah, sounds like they’re covering all the bases—luxury, performance, and something a bit more down to earth. Their lineup could be quite diverse, though I wonder how they’ll manage balancing those luxury elements with race-worthy performance.”

Benny:
“Exactly, Rusty. As Nolan suggested in his reply, making sure the modifications align with each model’s core identity is key. It’s not just about cutting costs; it’s about keeping the character of the car intact. I’m definitely eager to see what Morosa brings to the challenge.”

3. Rafael’s Wossom Update: Exciting Developments

Tati:
(Excitedly)
“Our dear Rafael has been busy working on the integration between Automation and Wossom. Though still a work in progress, the data being gathered so far is already opening up a world of new possibilities for future features. This could really take the challenge to the next level!”

Rusty:
“I’m interested to see what kind of features could be implemented. If it makes the competition even more immersive, I’m all in!”

Benny:
“Exactly, the tech side of things will be crucial in expanding the scope of our challenges. More data, more control, and more fun for all of us!”

Final Push, Fast Cars, and… Ant Hill Mob?

Tati:
Good day, boys and girls! It’s crunch time! The factory car submissions are almost over, and let me tell you, I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry with some of the creations coming in. Some are engineering marvels, while others? Well, let’s just say if you enjoy playing Russian roulette, there’s a few that will give you a thrill. We’re giving you every last minute possible by following the UTC -12 time zone.

Rusty:
Ladies and gentlemen, what Tati means to say is, some of y’all need to put down the wrench and step away from the exploding, I mean, “engineered to perfection” machines you’ve designed. But hey, we’re all here for some fun. If it doesn’t break the speed limit, what’s the point?

Benny:
Ah, the eternal question, Rusty! Big and loud versus sleek and sensible. I see both sides, but can we take a moment to appreciate the tech behind these cars? The problem-solving, the innovation! Every detail has a silver lining—yes, even when it looks like it was drawn by a toddler with a crayon.

Tati:
Speaking of questionable designs, let’s talk about fabiremi999’s Cattelleto Tipo 48. It’s got the looks! A solid 1.75 score in looks, and I gotta admit, this baby is sleek. Streamlined, sporty—this thing is built for driving fast and looking good while doing it. Rusty, I know you’re going to say it lacks the “oomph” of your beloved fire-breathing monsters, but some of us prefer not to wake up the entire neighborhood just by starting the engine.

Rusty:
Oh, come on, Tati! It’s a little small for my taste, sure, but I can appreciate the craft here. Just needs a V8 to make it really purr, you know? Can’t argue with the looks, though. I’d still prefer my big, loud, gas-guzzling beasts, but this one can at least hang in the garage without me sneezing at it.

Benny:
Speaking of engines, I can’t let this one slide without mentioning the 3,500cc V8 in that Regal Aviator. Now that engine purrs. 105 horsepower at 4100 RPM! It’s got torque, and it’s got style. Not to mention, it earned the maximum 2 in looks! It’s a beauty! And when you think about it, what’s better than combining European inspiration with American power? Henry Regal’s creation is a love letter to all of us car fans.

Tati:
Yeah, Benny, you keep drooling over that V8 while I stick to something a little less obnoxious. Now, Salonul Fericit by William Vires—talk about flashy! The tiny Ant Hill Mob would be proud. A 1.5 in looks, and while it’s a bit too “look at me, I’m orange” for my taste, I get it. It’s got charm, if charm means looking like you’re about to rob a bank in broad daylight. Rusty?
Chug1

Rusty:
Oh, I saw that chase! You know, I could swear I heard Benny laughing at how small the car looked, but let me tell you, those little fellas could drive. Probably had some tiny V8 mod in there too, right? A real car for real fun.

Benny:
Let’s not go too crazy with the conspiracy theories, Rusty. Vires’ Salonul Fericit might not be the fastest, but it’s sure to catch eyes.

Tati:
Alright, last bit before we wrap up this friendly banter. Rafael is deep in the coding cave, working some Automation witchcraft to crack open the math behind it. We’re talking quality bonuses, sales projections—the whole works. Meanwhile, we’ll keep entertaining you with what we do best—roasting cars and each other, all in good fun.

Rusty:
Absolutely. Remember, y’all have about 24 hours to submit those factory cars. Don’t come crying to us if you miss it because you were trying to install a flux capacitor. There’s no time machines in this competition—Tati checked.

Benny:
Yep! So boys and girls, get those cars in, hit the pedal, and remember—it’s not just about winning. It’s about style, fun, and maybe a little speed.

Tati:
Unless it explodes, in which case, Rusty’s already picking out his next gas guzzler to replace it.

Rusty:
Hey, hey, hey! Big and loud, baby. That’s how we do it!

The Stapely Coachbuilding Company (SCC) Phaeton is a car of pre-war premium motoring concepts brought up to date as the companies first car built and sold with one standard body. It seeks to offer a modern and well performing car for buyers looking for something with the connotations and style of the pre-1929 luxury they remember. Factory car submissions are now closed. Stay tuned for our upcoming articles! Official inspection results, weekly sales, and quality bonuses are scheduled for the 26th, but I’ll do my best to post them earlier.

Just passing by to let everyone know that I couldn’t release the official results for the factory cars earlier, but I’m working really hard on developing our own sales calculations, so I won’t have to go car by car for each challenge to get the numbers. This is also why I haven’t asked the AI team to write new articles. If I don’t finish it today, I’ll make the calculations manually through Automation so you can start working on your drag variations. I apologize for the delay, though we’re still on schedule, and I assure you it will be worth the wait.

no worries, the only thing on the drag versions we really have to wait on is quality sliders, keep up the good work!

Official Factory Results Released: The Good, The Bad, The Batmobile?

**

It’s been quite the ride, folks. The engines have revved, the gears have grinded, and we’re left with the aftermath of our first ever challenge. Some cars impressed, some… well, they tried. As always, our three brave (or foolish) hosts will be dishing out their sarcastic, politically incorrect, yet endearing commentary on the contenders.

1 - Official Factory Results Released: The Machines That Survived

It wasn’t easy, but these brave machines made it through the factory inspection. Sorted by the best quality bonus, here they are:

Tati: “The Boar at the top? I’m as shocked as you are, folks. It’s like finding out a pig can fly. But hey, it’s cheap and everyone loves a deal!”

Benny: “True, but look at the sales—it’s crushing it! Clearly, people know a good workhorse when they see one.”

Rusty: “I don’t care what anyone says, give me a giant engine any day. At least we know it’ll get things moving.”

2 - The Rankings: From Tame to Wild

Here’s where we get into the good stuff. Ranking these cars by how fun they are to drive, we’ll start from the bottom and work our way up to the ones that might just steal your heart. Or crash it—either way, it’ll be a ride.

11 - Mako (William Vires)

  • Drivability: 0.55 | Sportiness: 0.17 | Comfort: 0.49
Rusty: “This thing’s priced like a gold bar, but drives like a cement block. Honestly, I’m not sure what it wants to be—a car or a statue.”

Benny: “Hey, cut it some slack. It’s got a unique look, and not every car has to handle like a sports car. It’s more of a piece of art!”

Tati: “I’d hang it in my garage next to the lawnmower.”

10 - Salonul Fericit (William Vires)

  • Drivability: 0.73 | Comfort: 0.25 | Offroad: 1.00
Tati: “It’s a mixed bag, but hey, it’s Romanian. They know how to handle rough terrain, even if the comfort is…well, minimal.”

Rusty: “Maybe it’s rough on the outside, but it’s got grit! I bet this thing can survive a war… probably because it was designed during one.”

Benny: “Exactly! You don’t need luxury when you’ve got reliability and off-road capability. It’s like the friend who’s always there, even if they’re a bit rough around the edges.”

9 - Jawad Twelve (moroza)

  • Drivability: 0.71 | Sportiness: 1.00 | Comfort: 0.58
Benny: “This is the 1946 Batmobile, no doubt. It’s dark, sleek, and intimidating—just like Bruce Wayne would’ve driven if he were real.”

Rusty: “Yeah, but even Batman would want a smoother ride than this. It’s like strapping yourself to a rocket but forgetting the seat cushions.”

Tati: “At least it’s got a strong presence. Plus, not every car has to be comfortable, Rusty. Sometimes, you just want to look cool.”

8 - TC (Dog959)

d2b27cced41747d68aa5573f10bcd14c35c48405_2_690x388

  • Drivability: 0.82 | Comfort: 0.58 | Sportiness: 0.07
Tati: “A classic charm with modern flair. It’s like driving a time capsule—just don’t expect it to launch you into the future.”

Rusty: “For the price, though, it could’ve done a little more. It’s like getting a steak dinner and finding out it’s mostly salad.”

Benny: “Yeah, but that single-headlight look gives it so much personality! It’s the kind of car that winks at you.”

7 - Tipo 48 (fabiremi999)

  • Drivability: 0.90 | Comfort: 0.65 | Sportiness: 0.17
Benny: “There’s a balance here—sleek, smooth, and doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s the car equivalent of that guy at the party who’s cool but not trying too hard.”

Rusty: “Yeah, I’ll give you that. It’s like a reliable friend who won’t let you down. Just don’t expect it to win any races.”

Tati: “You know, sometimes you need balance. Not everyone’s into drag racing, Rusty!”

6 - Boar (xsneakyxsimx)

  • Drivability: 0.83 | Sportiness: 0.05 | Practicality: 0.99
Tati: “Basically a moving refrigerator. It may not be quick, but it’ll haul your emotional baggage and your groceries.”

Rusty: “It’s got the heart of a truck and the soul of a… pig. But hey, it’s practical. I’ll give it that.”

Benny: “Don’t underestimate practicality, Rusty! This thing is practically indestructible, and that counts for something.”

5 - Aviator (Nolan_Cables)

cd3a15cfefa9a3780c1d042c590281ea31da3b71_2_555x500

  • Drivability: 0.84 | Sportiness: 0.49 | Comfort: 0.33
Tati: “It’s like a suit with scuffed shoes. Almost there, but lacking just enough polish to make you doubt the whole package.”

Rusty: “Still, it’s better than most of what I’ve driven. At least it’s predictable… like a politician’s promise.”

Benny: “Let’s give it credit where it’s due—it’s practical and decent on the road. It may not wow you, but it’ll get you there.”

4 - Premier (Nolan_Cables)

5341a63c8f6fbf86ea206f7ad55f17ba0f980851_2_690x344

  • Drivability: 0.83 | Sportiness: 0.14 | Comfort: 0.56
Rusty: “A well-behaved car. Safe, reliable, and not likely to do anything too crazy. Good for grocery runs, but not much more.”

Benny: “Hey, not every car needs to be a wild ride, Rusty. Sometimes you just want something you can depend on, and this is it!”

Tati: “Yeah, it’s the grown-up in the room, but you know, sometimes that’s exactly what you need.”

3 - Coureur Continental (William Vires)

  • Drivability: 0.82 | Comfort: 1.00 | Prestige: 0.78
Tati: “The Coureur is that snobby French car that shows up at parties to tell you why its wine is better. And you know what? It probably is.”

Rusty: “Yeah, well, comfort’s off the charts, but it’s got about as much sportiness as my couch.”

Benny: “Look, some people care about comfort more than anything else, and for them, this is the ultimate rolling luxury.”

2 - Chiaro (VanZandt_Breda)

  • Drivability: 0.88 | Comfort: 0.52 | Sportiness: 0.08
Benny: “Smooth, stylish, and good on comfort. It’s like riding on a buttery cloud—just don’t expect it to win any street races.”

Rusty: “Benny, it’s a car, not a croissant!”

Tati: “Yeah, but I’d take a croissant any day if it handled this well.”

1 - Veloce (fabiremi999)

  • Drivability: 1.00 | Sportiness: 0.59 | Comfort: 0.65
Rusty: “Finally, something to wake you up in the morning. Drivable and sporty—it actually likes being pushed around.”

Tati: “Well, as much as it can be ‘pushed around,’ Rusty. I mean, look at the sportiness value. It’s more like a gentle nudge.”

Benny: “But hey, it’s at the top for a reason—this is a driver’s car. Hands down.”

3 - Join Anytime: It’s Never Too Late for Fun

Missed the deadline for your factory car? Don’t worry, you can still join us with your competition version! The catch? You still have to send a factory car and it’s quality bonus is going to be as real as Benny’s chances of staying sober through a weekend race—nonexistent. At least untill the next factory car submission deadline.

Benny: “Just remember, no bonus means your car’s like Rusty’s old bike—missing a wheel but still trying to compete.”

Rusty: “But hey, better late than never! There’s always a chance to make a comeback.”

4 - The Phaeton TC Released

Dog959’s Phaeton TC is here, a luxurious blast from the past! Dog says it’s a modern take on pre-war luxury, but I say it’s more like bringing back top hats and monocles at a rave.

Tati: “It’s got that snazzy, single-headlight look. The car’s almost winking at you. Very charming, if you don’t mind the high price tag.”

Rusty: “A 1.75 in looks, so it’s better than average. Kind of like that guy you thought was out of your league but ends up having a crush on you.”

Benny: “Exactly! Plus, that pre-war charm is something you can’t replicate. It’s got personality.”

5 - DCMW Jawad Twelve Standard Released

Ah, the Jawad Twelve—the Batmobile of 1946. If Batman existed back then, moroza’s creation would definitely be his ride, all sleek lines and shadows.

Benny: “Yeah, it’s basically the dark knight of the bunch. A solid 2 in looks and with enough tail lights to warn an entire city block you’re coming.”

Rusty: “You’d think the extra lights would make it look faster… but nope.”

Tati: “Hey, at least it’s bold! Sometimes you just want a car that makes a statement, and this one definitely does.”

6 - Update Beta Status from Rafael

Alright, folks, if you’re wondering why things seemed slow, it’s because our fearless leader, Rafael, is working hard to automate the calculations behind the scenes. So next time, fewer delays, more fun. Keep sending those cars, but hold your horses for the Drag and Top Speed competitions—those are coming soon!

Tati: “Look, it’s not easy running a challenge series like this, especially when you’re not a game dev. So, props to Rafael for pushing through and making this happen.”

Benny: “Yeah, no shame in a little manual work. It’s like fixing a car with duct tape—temporary, but it works!”

Rusty: "Hang in there, folks! The madness has only just begun.

Good stuff, but seems they were ranked by how easy to drive, not how fun?

Check the spelling of my name, please.

The build was a bit rushed; properly, the trim should’ve been called a Twelve Standard S, with a red S badge indicating a sportier tune than usual. Oh well.

I believe I’ve corrected all the misspellings. Sorry about that. This ranking wasn’t really planned. What truly matters for our challenge is the company’s reputation (which is different from in-game reputation). Wossom reputation will be calculated based on competition results (like Drag, Top Speed challenges, Time Trials, etc.). The ranking I released today was just for fun and was actually generated by AI after I provided normalized values for Drivability, Sportiness, Comfort, Prestige, Safety, Economy, Practicality, and Utility, along with my own scores from 1 to 2 for looks. I then asked the AI to create the ranking, prioritizing fun, which I described as: “Fun is the main attribute and is essentially a combination of different factors, primarily Drivability and Sportiness.” I also gave the AI priority tiers for other attributes. All of this will be part of a future release, and I’ll share the spreadsheet for anyone curious about how everything is being calculated. I wish I had the time to judge all the cars myself, but I’m not sure I’d do a better job than the AI. Personally, I think the Twelve Standard is the best-looking car, by the way. One other improvement I want to make soon is simplifying and clarifying the instructions.

IDK I like the VI, it keeps us guessing on what we need to make. If it was all you then the people that spend more time in groups with you will have an easier time making stuff that will score better. I look forward to seeing what you do with these events.

Are there any fuel restrictions for the drag racing version?

For this phase, no. Is this a problem? Whenever you have an idea, a discussion or a correction, please send me so we may implement new features or fixes in the next phase.

No problem, just checking since fuels like Nitromethane are a pretty big change in performance and not normally allowed but seem less inappropriate for a drag race.

wouldnt that destroy the engines since alot of their max HP is so low?

The engine I’ve got working would need to be rebuilt pretty often, it’d probably do less than 10 races, but you can get one that does run even if it’s in a lot of pain while doing so, I don’t think I could use the max stroke of my engine family without it tearing itself apart even with a lot of quality put into it.
