I’ve got another cool wall suggestion…
1992 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo
By the way, daily update of cool wall is done.
Just to help you guys decide on your cars: A little reverse-engineering to illustrate the sort of prices you can aim for:
My last get for the cool wall:
1984-ish BMW E30, but not M series, just the base model with a 4 cylinder.
Anybody else have problems selecting license plates(the ones with the base, the others seem fine)?
Automation miscategorizes a lot of bodies, I think it’s just an error on the body-maker’s part.
And that car overall looks very cohesive and well put together! Maybe on the futuristic side for 1988, but it could have just been a new re-style at the time.
If a body looks like a 5 door, I will treat it like a 5 door, however, in case the body type affects stats, I can not do much about it.
I based it partially on the Peugeot 605 and the Subaru Legacy
I enjoy being so incredibly single minded when it comes to challenges that I just made something that, you know, is just the entirely wrong car for this challenge.
I ignored all the big scorings, and made… well, I made a car for the cool wall.
I’m stupid but, here we are.
In Edesl’s cool wall challenge, a car was submitted that was inappropriate for the challenge if you look at the car objectively, but this inappropriateness led to some rather strong qualities for this vehicle and led to an incredibly interesting competition. Making something that is wrong doesn’t actually mean it is bad.
Why follow the predefined limits when you can just do something that is completely wrong, but extremely cool at the same time?
It’s definitely not bad, it’s just very much not cheap to service, very good offroad, very comfortable, nor good at carrying stuff
Last car for the cool wall, 1995-2001 Chevrolet Lumina
Lumina and 4 door E30 coolwalled.
Compelling. Phone rings, with Japan calling on the phone.
However. Japan called, they wanted their car back, America complained about the failed plagarism of their 1980s Luxury sedans and wagons.
(I nearly thought of binning this car’s original plot. V8 power, i had to due to constraints.)
1990 Hakumai Crest (B25) for sale
(this is all original advertising lore for the car btw.)
Was the American personal luxury car too expensive, maybe not as reliable or with an engine designed by the Germans, built by the Germans, in a Japanese car. Have you ever wanted a practical economical car that just looks like a luxury car? Here you go!
You can buy it right now for $3480. Thanks Henry for making me cut a load of things from it. Free weight reduction though.
Damn, there went my possibility to be salty about how people does not now what they are selling. (1990 model advertised as 1994)
yep it evaporated now. Better luck next time.
Up for sale is a nice unmolested Tomahawk. 2DR 4.0 Liter truck with a somewhat rare 5-speed manual, especially with a premium interior. I ordered this new from the local Armor dealer in '92. Now I’m ready for something new, dealer won’t give me anything for trade-in value. I’ll take $2971 (firm). Everything works, pretty low miles, always made sure it was in good working order. Phone number xxx-xxx-xxxx.
oh so we can submit our own cars? lets goooooo
Yes. But read the rules carefully and ask if something is unclear. I take your question as if you might be new to the challenges on the forums?
