Dimension Motors - Back in Business!

I usually feel like I have to include a sport version of such a car to make it a little more interesting. And if that doesn’t work, then I try my best to make such ‘profit-cars’ as interesting as possible.

Somehow still soldiering on to the new 10s, the Andromeda provides all the rattles and misery of your college beater, except now you can buy it new! The new Direct Injection V6 not far off the one used by the Hadron and by extension the Boson supercar meant a serious upgrade in power though.

I am astounded by how light each generation of the Andromeda is. Unless I’m just not seeing it right and think it’s much bigger than it really is , these cars seem to be incredibly lightweight for what they are, which would suggest that actually they light be quite fun to drive and not just for geriatrics :joy:

They are awfully light indeed. Probably my insistence to use aluminum bodywork.

One thing this makes weird is the way weight increases when you increase power. I assume this is due to the added weight of the transmission but still… come on…

Nice job on these, Deskyx. :sunglasses:

Deskyx, you may want to check out this on the topic of weight: How is the weight of a car calculated in Automation?

####TO SET APART THIS COMPANIES ROADSTER FROM ALL THE OTHER SIMILARLY NAMED CARS, THE NOVA SPORTSCAR WILL NOW BE RENAMED THE NUOVA. NAMING CULTURES STILL REMAIN SO HIGH PERFORMANCE MODELS WILL STILL BE CALLED THE SUPERNUOVA.

2001 Dimension Nuova Spyder (ZDW30)

Isn’t it just the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? Now you can be the most stylish hairdresser on the block! Until you discover the joys of having no usable storage space whatsover and a penchant for snap oversteer that is.
Notable for being the only car in the 2000s sold without even an option for power steering.

Like it’s FWD cousin the Singularity, the 3rd gen Nuova’s high performance trim eschewed turbocharging and AWD, preferring to go for a low power, low price package with a heavy emphasis on balance and handling. As fast as the Singularity is, being capable of pulling 14 flat quarters with just 230 hp, this little bugger due to being as heavy as a hydrogen molecule is capable of doing sub 13 quarters with the same motor and transmission. To put into perspective, this car will literally run 1/4 mile times less than .3 seconds behind a Cavallera Kunai RS. Oh and it drives like a dream too.

CZ1 or Nouva SSP??

There is only one way to find out…

Well shite. I had lined up a 233hp MR coupe with this exact body as a rerelease of the Stratocumulus last seen in the CSR.
Also:

Cavallera

Not the same type of car… CZ1 is more powerful and heavier. Still somewhat usable day to day.

V8 power for very little in pricing, just like the good old days. Except in the good old days you could actually see out of the car and the drivers could actually drive back then. A must have for any wannabe retro mid life crisis baldy who can’t afford overly inflated originals.

How come you use manual lockers on your RWD sports cars?

Oops oversight. I copied it from the Andromeda sedan since they have the same engine.

I’m impressed.

Wait, does it have a 3.3 or 3.5 V6? And a V6 in Dimension? What?

It’s 2007… I phased out V6s and V8s by 2016…

Ah, ok… I associated Dimension with all 6-cylinders being inline. BTW, it’s a quite radical change - from V6s and V8s to I6s and V12s (yes, I remember about the bankruptcy).

And what about the capacity?

That body kit on the Skinwalker version… :+1:
