Apparently my capitalist pig is the porkiest of them all, at least it’s tame and looks awesome
Soon we will see how all of you compete - it will be surprising for some I guess
Most powerful car and second best PW ratio, using a 2.4L V8 before anyone asks.
And it’s FWD for maximum tire shredding.
Lets hope I can get something half decent out of it.
And before you ask about the lack of door handles, it’s for aerodynamic reasons. Alexei will just has to smash the window to get in.
Not a bad turnout at all! And not a bad stabding in power to weight ratio for an NA engine. Now we shall see how this experimental build pans out!
GLORY TO ARSTOZSKA

Ehm… I sure hope it’s a 2.4l, not a 2.5. Right?
I just remembered why my car has comparatively less power: I steadfastly refuse to use leaded petrol! For preservation of motherland nature! Is forward progressing thinking!

You are right, I just edited my post.
Time for the first race… the KGB leaked the results of
CIRCUIT DE SPA FRANCORCHAMPS
Some Rumors say that the next track could be something with “SIC”
These are very interesting results, certainly I did not expect to be among the forerunners, especially with a car with such a limited top end, but to be nearly two seconds down on the leader, that is very significant indeed. I shall see how this translates to tighter tracks! Or is it, even worse, that my car can’t get power down effectively due to too much wheelspin? I can’t work it out, because both FWD cars with higher power to weight ratios, and an MR car with a much lower power to weight ratio is in front of me!
Or maybe I just tuned the car badly, that is possible
Hey, I’m not last. That is something of a surprise! Next time I’ll try and tune my car a bit better.
I wasn’t expecting to be fast at all!
Surprisingly not last. I didn’t expect anything would be possible after reading the nice trump cards and finding out that the car was put back on 165 tyres, probably something decided it wasn’t possible to acquire the initially planned wider tyres in time in communism Siberia. Must have happened quite early in the setup process since I did use the money freed by it, probably to deal with safety. Anyway, unlike the ladder frame, the full iron direct OHC 2 valve 2,4 inline 4*, or such, the tyre choice was not intentional and, surprisingly, the few seconds didn’t seem to make a difference in placing.
*The up’n’down’n’goaround and outside stuff is from the finest work though.
I won!
Honestly, I didn’t expect that and I’m starting to believe that the game doesn’t really do justice to the MR design.
Admittedly, in this race I had a powerful engine, long gearing and a long straight to my advantage. The gearing and the torsion beam rear suspension should work against me on tighter tracks.
I’m not sure that MR needs to have such an advantage, but what I do know is that certainly the quirks in the weight distribution makes for a rather odd setup. Its really difficult to make a car with 50:50 balance, and nearly completely impossible in the MR format! (At least, the way I do it).
Then again I’m also not a huge fan of MR cars so maybe I am just not that good at building them.
More than one point. It’s a good day.
Wait, SIC??? Not Sepang is it!? My car’s too slow, I’ll get slaughtered!
Intresting and tight challenge.
As predicted, a lack of outright speed has me in the thick of it once again!
Here’s to hoping for some tight and technical tracks, then the dynamics of MR drivetrain can be truly tested against the FF builds!
OH NO!
Apparently there is a bug going on in the calculations - have to retest all of you guys… some people get faster, some get slower.
Some bug in the calcs caused slower/faster times for people. If the placements stay the same on the recent two tracks - the tables wont be changed and will still be valid - but that is currently in evaluation
