(1980) Communist Racing (FINAL RACE DONE)

With my car it’s not torsion beam though. Just turning the engine around 90 degrees and thus making my car FWD and the resulting added 6.4 points in Tameness and nearly 70kg weight loss (2.8 Sportiness) gains 1.91s on Automation track and 0.92s on airfield. With FWD the change from semi trailing arm to torsion beam rear has no effect on the time on Automation track and gains another 0.1s on Airfield, with double wishbone it is 0.01s slower on Automation 0.02s slower on Airfield than with semi trailing arm. With RWD double wishbone gains 0.28 on Automation and 0.11s on Airfield over trailing arm, still far from FWD results. Front always stays MacPherson and no changes elsewhere, too. But trying these further tests I just noticed to do FWD there’s a bug involved, the engine is actually too large to be installed Transverse into that car.

IMO the “issue” with the torsion beam is that it’s just as quick (if not slightly quicker) than more inherently sportier designs.

Hmmm. Allthat, plus results, is making me look at effects of tameness and sportiness more now. As expected, on faster roads, my car simply can’t keep up with the frontrunners!

TIME FOR THE KURWA RING!!!

Some comrades were caught kurwa’ing around

:astonished:

I… I won a stage? On a track I’ve never even tested? :open_mouth:

This cup takes the cake as the biggest mind job for team GG. We must study these results!

Ca-n someone please briefly describe the track? I don’t have access to my PC and I’m curios? I ca-n only assume it was a very tight course.

Time for the Ostrich Ring

Tomorrow… something grassy will come…

Well, I’m finally in double digits for points…

Time for the final race… everyone, even the drivers were so drunk on the last days, there just could not be any race. Igor and Vladimir brought too much vodka to the party.

The race is on the…

GREEN HELL

The winner of this glorious race is…

Congratulations! This FWD 300hp car is a crazy machine with its torsion bar suspension…

Second place was achieved by no one other than

These Znopresks are always amazing cars! Well done Norman!

Lets get to the final standings:

Thank to everyone, the next race hosted by me, will come again with a new body, but until then you have plenty of other stuff to do here

A solid finish to an experimental approach in a very interesting tournament! I’m satisfied. Thanks for hosting Pyrlix, and congrats to RaduST, Leo and Norman.

Thanks guys. My first victory in a tournament couldn’t have arrived at a better time. It was my first FWD entered in a competition so I had no idea it behaves so well. Also it was the first time a entered a competition with a Dacia remake, the Romanian national pride. So sorry if i am/was a bad winner. Thanks pyrlix for your effort in organizing this competition.

That is not being a bad winner at all, it must be extra special to win with a car that means much to you.

(Though that said your car did perform very strongly in the Barely Street Legal League too, haha!)

Yeah, I know. That was the most interesting competition I saw on this forum since I joines it. And I enjoied my races and my second place. But my car wasn’t in the spirit of competition. It was a white 2014 all racing machine which took hours to fine tune, and I ended up beaten my station wagon )

I really liked this championship, it was well made and put together. I wonder where Pyrlix got the charts and graphs from :stuck_out_tongue:

And RaduST, the wagon was incredible, I never thought it would win the BSLL, it truly shows the power of power

Znopresk extraordinary placement! Good work for the Z-Est, the Zest for the east european market (and the fastest RWD car of the competition!)
Thanks to Pyrlix to hold this championship.

Cheers!

I’m happy with where I placed. I know I’m not a major contender, but I racked up a decent amount of points given where I think I am.
