Take the folders for each track out of the pack folder

This is the correct folder path:

 C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\AutomationGame\Saved\UserData\Tracks

Just drop the individual track folders there

Maybe a redundant question, but I’d rather be stupid than DQ’d. What’s the stance on ignition timing map? I’m using the correct fuel, but the game lists the octane requirement as fuel+5 in the detailed stats, so which number is the decider?

Thank You!

As long as you select the correct fuel type you are fine! No need to worry about ignition timing

Is the math on this challenge calculating flying laps or are we going with every lap as a standing lap?

We are using every lap as the standing lap. No need to overcomplicate it. This way it is easier for you to see if a change was an improvement or not, without needing to calculate from sector times.

I ran a color checker over the flag colors in game for the Continent colors.

can we use red numbers for german cars like irl?

Did they run with red numbers very often post-war? I just saw images of a Mercedes 1955 Mille Miglia with a red number, but I think in Le Mans they all ran black numbers.

Looks like you’re right, all 50s Le Mans Mercedes I can find ran black numbers.

edit: same for the Porsches

I’m sorry about asking this redundant question, but I want to be 100% sure. I can do what I want with the quality sliders as long as I keep within the PU/ET limits, and they are independent of the tech pool?
I’ve had this game for many years but never looked into the deep mechanics much and it’s giving me trouble now that this challenge has come up.

Thanks for adding the tire width rule btw, it’s helpful to have limits to work with.
(and thanks for setting up this challenge!)

Yes, every quality slider (except for tire quality) may be used as you like. Tech Pool is independent and needs to be set manually by everybody!

You had better put that out better. I have been working with a default +5 and am currently redesigning everything. I was wondering why a 120 ET was so liberal.

The regulations state TP limits at least twice. How much clearer can they get?

Because the default state of the game has them set at “5”. These TP things are new, I thought the rules were talking about the quality sliders. After my 1800 hours and close to a decade playing this game, things have changed over time.

Would something like a Hillman Imp or Fiat-Abarth 1600 OT qualify for the GT category?

Wow what a great looking car you designed! What body did you use. @Der_Bayer I don’t think any of the vanilla bodies look so much like any Le Mans sports prototypes so I’m not sure which body to use D:

Sorry - just found the answer higher up.

Hi Der Bayer
Newbie question here.
I have set the tech pool limits as instructed but I’m not sure if it affects the other Quality settings.
For example, by the Quality slider on the drive train setting, there are two boxes. The lower one is set to +5 and if I click on it, it opens up the Tech Pool. The upper box shows what I have set the ‘Quality’ value to by using the slider.
My question is, can that quality value be set to whatever I can afford (production and engineering limits), or does it have to be no higher than the Tech Pool value?

I hope that makes sense and sorry if it is a really silly newbie question. :grinning:

There are no limits on quality, aside from tire which can have +5 quality max if your entry is a sports prototype.
