Ok… I’m 100% sure and a, willing to bet anyone that at least one of these suggestions have been made, but I’ll make them anyway, because I have a lot, and I don’t want to go through searching for them all. These are in no particular order, but I’ll tag them with what they have to do with.
[Company] I think you should be able to choose what region you start off in. The region your company is based in has a huge effect on your company and I think it is a very important factor (LOL ramble). For instance, in Europe (or if you were to go more specific with this, a country like Poland [tight roads, not a lot of money for huge/luxurious/sporty cars]) then there should be a huge decrease in the demand for medium-full size SUVs, vans, trucks, sports cars etc etc. But in America for example, demand for bigger and more luxurious cars should be higher.
[Car] I know you were probably already thinking about it, but I would like to see spoilers be adjustable. The only reason I’m suggesting this is because I saw in a discussion about aerodynamics that things thrown on the car such as spoilers would have a flat rate at which they adjust the aerodynamics. I’m just scared that would mean you couldn’t adjust the size/shape of the spoilers and such.
[Car/Company?] I think you definitely should put in a feature where you can save money on production by building a better version of the same car. Like BMWs “M” or Mercedes’ “AMG”. You would be able to build the better version in the same factory, and therefore cutting costs.
[Company, Effects Car] Some people have been suggesting a tool where you can import your own images to use as your company logo. I think this is a completely unreasonable thing to ask from an under 50 person dev team (50 is sort of my, this is a big dev team, this is a small dev team mark). The colors and reflections of foreign images would be an extremely hard ting to code. So I think the game should come with a vary wide range of logos, that are basic, so that they don’t interfere with 4.1
4.1. [See 4] In relation to 4., I think it wouldn’t be too much to ask to add the custom name of the car in shiny letters at the back and/or sides. A basic text tool with a few fonts and colors would add a lot of authenticity don’t you think?
[Car] Last of all, please… please give us at least 2 base models per vehicle type to base ours off of. For instance for a current Mid-sized sedan give us two things that contrast. Such as a Cadillac and a Toyota. Toyota’s Camry is a relatively curvy car, while the Cadillac CTS is an angular, sharp car. I just think having at least two big contrasts will give our companies their own feel. As you can tell, Cadillac as been having a really sharp bat-mobile-esque trend, while companies like hyundai and their Elantra are really flowing, curvy cars.
[Not actually a legit suggestion] Can we have the possibility for our customers to add in custom umbrella holders into the doors of their cars, like to Royce I just heard about it? Sick thanks.
Already planned, I think. Well, you couldn’t start in Poland, as this region would be under communist reign at 1946, but, you will be able to select starting region
There will be more than 2 models per vehicle type. We have already got two small 80’s hatches and two small 90’s hatches in alpha of design components, and much more is considered.

Yes this is very much part of the game, and one of the major things you’ll be doing is trying to tailor cars to different countries tastes, also labor costs, taxes, regulations etc. will vary between regions.
We will think about this if/when we add spoilers.
You’ll be able to make whole model ranges of the same car, for example you could make a 3 series and have varients ranging from a 318 to an M3 etc., This will be cheaper to make than completely different cars.
Agreed, probably too hard to do nicely. We do plan on having a wide range of badges though.
4.1 Interesting idea, adds a bit too much complexity right now, but may be worth considering for later on.
Oh yes indeed, there will be as many cars as I can possibly model - I’d aim for a minimum of say 6 cars per type per era (6 x 90s hatchbacks for example), but if all goes well we will have quite a bit more than that.
Of course! this is the single most important part of the game
Did you guys ever ask the car manufactures (ford, mercedes, chevy, ferrari,) let them know what your doing and what kind of game this is.
This could actually helpful to them on so many levels as for body styles as for engine(to see how to be economic).
Maybe they would help and give donations.
The reason I say this is because I am a CubMaster for the cub scouts and we try to get donations and the best always come from a large company.
Just a thought.

Unlikely, car companies have far more sophisticated software than we have made!
Not need for game play but I did noticed a few things missing in the engine room like a dirty rag can, air compressor or air lines, just my opinion but a lift of some size to get the motor in place, and I think it would be a double door I would not want to try to get a complete motor through a single door. Fell free to tell me STFU
