About engine electronics

I was just wondering this question. Will there be some options in engine designer about ignition? with distributor, or is there Direct ignition? Direct ignition is a lot expensive but you get more power and lower emissions. Not a lot, but a little. When the spark is stronger, the fuel burns “cleaner”. Just wondering!

And also how about adding a “Launch Control” to the car designer, as an accessory to bring a little bit sporty feeling to the car. Only to raise the cars value. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think “launch control” would be great to have.

Launch control isn’t available for now, but you can specific Traction Control/Stability Control etc.

For ignition systems it just does distributor for Carby/Mechanical Injection and Single Point EFI, and does Coil Packs for Multipoint and Direct Injection

Ignition systems themselves have minimal effect on most properties of an engine, usually as long as its got enough spark to make it reliably go “bang” that’s all you need.

The main improvement you can make to ignition is the ability to control timing in a more detailed and accurate manner, and thats bundled with the injection systems in our case.

how about mechanical direct injection, as per the 300SL gullwing?

I think the limitation of the ignition distributor is inadequate / real because my car is multipoint injection but leads distributor (Renault 19 16v 140cv 1.800cc) year 92,
(Renault Clio 16v 150cv 2.000cc) year 94, also has good ignition distributor

Would be great to even be possible to incorporate multipoint injection ignition distributor because in reality I have several cars with the injection system.

Could put even more examples of vehicles that carry the system on with the injection system as opel, vw etc
