AGT Championship

Well, I could enter the challenge, however, I have absoluely no idea on how should I tune my engine. Will the races be on tight, bumpy tracks or fast ones with long straights? Will the cars be RWD only, or AWD will be allowed? These sort of questions are crucial when developing an engine for a car.

OK, SME will be entering both a Turbo and an N/A engine for the competition.

Grey-Skies Industries will be submitting a turbo engine.

I have some questions:

Is the catalytic converter mandatory ?

Is engine cost=material costs+service costs ?

Is the $75000 figure the budget for just ONE engine ?

Also, I support a restricted displacement for turbo engines.

I’d like to post an engine, but the same displacement between turbo and N/A engine made me skeptical about the fairness between engines competition.

I support a restricted displacement for turbo engines too or a lower maximum power limit around 550 hp.

Catalytic converter is not needed. I do not have one on either of my engines.

The Engine cost is 3 times material costs + service costs and then rounded up to the nearest thousand.(Example: MC $5386.69 X 3 + SC $7481.15 = (Rounded up to the nearest thousand) $24000

$75000 is the maximum an engine will be, although it is highly doubtful there will be an engine that costs over $50000

Do not worry about displacement unfairness. Read below.

All cars will be RWD, races will consist of Real life tracks that have been made on these forums

AGT STATEMENT:

In this seasons AGT we will have 2 Classes of competition. AGT1 for Turbo cars and AGT2 for NA cars. To provide more competition for everyone. Each team may enter a car into both categories, Sticking to the Class restrictions. Any team who wishes to run a car in both classes gets an increase of $400,000 to their budget to fund their second car. Please note, You will need to buy a second driver

Outstanding!! Now it all makes more sense.

Perfect! Ardent Motors will enter a car in each class, and will sign a contract with ONE engine provider (no splitting between manufacturers for the turbo and NA version. All or nothing for me!)

A word of warning to everybody doing an engine out there!

Due to a glitch in the game, 1.37bar equals to 20.14psi instead of 19.87psi! So the limit actually is 1.36bar.

Yep! I had to resubmit mine due to this “issue” as 20psi should equal 1.378bar. 1.37bar should have been acceptable. No worries though…hahaha

Arrow Motorsports will be Providing An engine for both the NA and turbo categories and be partnering up with RCR as their fully backed race team. The entry For Arrow Arrow Motorsports will be the B40VVTLT AGT Platform Some revision is needed to cut costs and get some more reliability but yes thats right we will be entering a 4cyl turbo!!! The NA motor is the B40VVLTN A bit low on power At this moment but is heavily being developed as we speak.

And the Turbo engine

The Na Motor

Interesting!

Blackrock Auto Design - N/A motor and possibly a turbo coming right up

Updated the OP with current list on engine manufacturers, current legal engine names (no specs revealed).

Small thing I noticed for the deadline in the original post… says 12pm on the 4th, might want to clarify what time zone.

Žnoprešk Reparto Performance have submitted the R-V889C-HF. As for our comapny policy we aim to be the best in the price for value ratio, without sacrifice performance.

Engine submissions are now closed. Details on Car spec will follow shortly. (Finishing uploading images to imgur for the engines)

Edit: Updated the OP with car specs and link to the engine spreadsheet.

Race 1 has also been announced, you have until next Saturday 5pm BST to submit your cars.

Mars Engineering is proud to present the: ME Yakima 4.0T750

 • Lightest turbo engine in the field
 • pretty cheap considering the competition
 • widest usable powerband in the competition, >650hp all the way from 6.000rpm to 9500rpm

Wow, my engines actually look somewhat competitive! And the most efficient NA engine on the list!

Ardent Motor chooses Smolensk Engineering as its engine provider. Car design to follow…
