The Automation International Racing Federation (AIRF) has created a new set of International touring car regulations. Several racing teams are interested, but need cars to buy. Create one!
International Touring Car Class 3 (ITC3) Regulations
Overall Regulations:
- Techpool left at +5
- Year 2020
- No legacy bodies
- Only +5 quality allowed
- No negative quality allowed
- No open-wheel bodies
Engine Regulations
- Maximum of 6 cylinders
- Engine may be no more than 2.0 liters
- Car must use DOHC 4 valves per cylinder
- Must be naturally aspirated
- No higher than 10000 rpm
- Must use Unleaded Ultimate (100 RON) fuel
- Must pass WES 7 emissions
- Maximum loudness: 80
Chassis Regulations
- Wheelbase must be within 2.5 and 2.8 meters
- No convertibles
- Car width may not exceed 2 meters (measure with the ruler fixture)
- Car must be front engine
- Minimum weight: 1250kg (2755.8lbs)
Wheel Regulations
- Maximum front tire width: 275mm
- Maximum rear tire width: 295mm
- Radial race hard tires required
- Rims must be at least 18 inches
Drivetrain Regulations
- RWD required
- 6 speed sequential transmission
- Clutched race LSD
Required Lights
- All types of lights required (Reverse, indicators and brake lights included)
Aero and Other Regulations
- Total front and rear maximum downforce of 150kg (330.7 lbs) (in performance statistics) (negative numbers don’t count)
- Sports undertray required
- No active aero
- Maximum Cooling and Brake airflow required
- Vented disc brakes only
- Car must have advanced 20s safety
- No active or semi-active suspension parts (includes dampers and sway bars)

A cool looking car will bring more attention to sponsors (interior recommended but not judged)
General design cues:
- Don’t have extreme aero (big wings and diffusers) (use small-medium sized wings, and small diffusers and splitters if you want)
- Keep it looking similar to a road car
- Car should look sporty (no SUVs, Trucks, Vans, etc.)
