Alternative Fuel Cars

All cars needed to be gas powered in the game but in the real world it’s not there should be different varsities of engine fuels like regular diesel, hydrogen, electricity, biodiesel, ethanol, compressed air,and hybirds.
And these fuels will make the game more realistic!

:open_mouth: (This seems familiar)

And I know some of them sound more familiar yo you but some of them are not familiar and some people will demand them in real life!

But still you have to spend a lot of money and time to research those technology and a lot of money to develop but diesel will be common but all the others won’t be common to find everywhere and they will be rare expect electricity which has very bad range and it’s only good for city driving.

None of these fuel types (not even diesel, despite its popularity in some regions) is common enough to be worth of the time spending adding them into game. And trust me, they do require much time - in fact, most of them would need an entirely separate designer.

Pikaplayer, also use the search function and look at whats being requested already. These kind of topics (both that you made) are things people have spoken about ten thousands of times already.

Diesel should be ingame. There’s no reason not to. Every mainstream european maker has diesel engines on the line up. In Europe diesel cars make up for 50% of the sales. FIFTY PERCENT!
That is half the market. There are countries like Luxemburg where it’s 80%.

And there are market like the US, China and Brazil (2nd, 1st and 5th biggest car markets) where diesel is nearly not present in passenger vehicles. I think those are more relevant to the world then Luxembourg or Portugal.

In Brazil, for example, it is illegal for diesel to be the fuel unless the car has a low-ratio gearbox and 4x4 or if it is a truck.

And as pointed out in video few months back the diesels aren’t that big if you take account the whole scale of the game. Please remember that they only have been popular for maybe twenty years and the game will go 60 years back from that. So the diesels are only important in endgame phase… (Of course you could maybe alter the history with diesels. MAYBE)

As much as I would also like to see diesels in game I understand devs point. But they have “promised” to add it as paid dlc if the game has enough success = enough players.

And they are only very popular in Europe I guess.

Diesels are feasible actually, but, the game NEEDS to be done first - the petrol engines need to be fully modelled and done - in other case, diesel introduction would stretch the game development out by a lot more than after the game release. and would stop being worth of the time.

Search function people, search function.

And Spain, the % is highter (between 85-90%).
