oopsie dasiy
can i use maximum quality sliders for the engine?
Yeah, you can, if it is under the budget limit.
thanks
LICORNE Racing development team has been hard at work on the 72-73 Wapiti Rallye in the off season and today head of development Mason L. Odge has released the following statement and pictures to ABL news reporters.
The 72/73 Rallye has undergone some minor changes for the upcoming season.
The chassis has been improved and stiffened a new reverse cowl lightweight bonnet and new front air dams and underbody trays have been used to help improve aerodynamics.
We have installed a new rear differential gear set improving top speed to complement the new engine modifications. In order to keep the car planted new larger 14" wheels and larger 245mm soft compound tyre are now fitted and adjustments to the rear camber and dampeners to suit.
The engine has received a complete overhaul, the stroke was decreased from 115.1mm to 112.1mm in order to comply with new rules. New Dished Forged pistons have been installed and larger exhaust valves have been fitted to the alloy head along with beehive valve springs and new lightweight rocker arms. Finally we are using fuel injection again with a new injector pump and larger injectors and tuned length trumpets, on the exhaust side a new set of Licorne tri-Y extractors have been handmade and mated to a 3.25" exhaust total power has been raised from 310HP to 348HP.
We are confident that with these adjustments we will be finishing higher in the standings.
LICORNE Galloping on Hooves of Steel and Fire
Build a new car, I could make the old one faster, but the new one will kick-ass :-).
Grenn Hell under 8:00 check!
Faster then every car 1970/1971 on all Tracks…you know
And it is a FR agian. I lost some hp because of the v12 ban but not to much.
And again guys i really like the new rules.
Thank you, I’m just happy that I don’t have to equalize the engines for turbo too haha.
I’m going for FR too with an I6 engine, just can’t decide between DOHC and SOHC.
I really really want to got with Turbos! BIG BOOST!
Yeah, the turbo era will be good, I like variety and we’ll have turbo-I4s and I6s against N/A V8s, it’ll be really cool, but hard to equalize.
Yes, but a Turbo car is even harder to build, if you don’t want to have a power Band of usable 500rpm. But it will be a lot of fun.
Well, that’s true, even more at the 80’s
I tried something with the DOHC and i think that Turbo charged engins could be about half the size, if fuel effency is not important.
It’s racing, who cares about fuel efficiency? Half the size looks good, I’ll start doing some tries about it after this round results.
One thing ist to become the realabiliti in shape. So to user a strong undersquare engine or race-parts will become difficult.
Just a sneak peek
And yes, At the moment were I read the Time i just thougt WTF! How did this happen? It was more a accident than skill i think. And this car was not aproofed by the Race-Master so it is not 100% sure.
Yeah, we’ll need to study all this stuff, but first we’ll focus on how to improve to the next round.
This is you actual entry or with a turbo engine? That’s a hell of a time!
And I would like to remember that you all that you still have a little less then a week to send your entry.
We already have 4 cars waiting to be checked. I’ll start the checking at the 23th December, 2 days before the deadline.
my car is gonna be SO outgunned, but hpfully not as bad as last seasons. that WAS an embarrassment.
That is my entry :-), with the engine showeud above.
Last season your car was too heavy, like really, really heavy. Try to take some kg out and you’ll already gain some good time.
I didn’t saw the other entries yet, nor have I tested my car on green hell, so I can’t compare (and I shouldn’t), but to me it looks really impressive.
well, im 1100 ish kg, bur i may take a smaller car.
I regret taking the challenge of having randomly chosen high weight…shit
