What I can point out to you in general: it needs more downforce and definitely less weight.

well we’ll keep that in mind for the mk2 model, we already almost bankrupted ourselves and flew way out of our comfort zone

There’s being thrifty, and there’s having 3000 production units and 160K build cost.
It’s for people with deep pockets and no knowledge about cars at all, we are stealing Veyron customers

darn I also forgot all of my engineers seem to be over 100 years old (Automation logic) so I don’t think they will get past casting the engine block
Also some news, we will be going back into the archives to 1998 where we saw the release of the Bell CT, an economical MPV which we will be entering into the realism challenge, will offer a hybrid drivetrain but with a manual transmission for those who both care about their wallet and about being in control of the vehicle

There is cost effective manufacturing, and there is a game that gives surprisingly high penalties in competitiveness for anything that costs more than $70k ingame.
I’ve had cars score over 100 points in Super and GT with around 80K. Heck I made 100K SUV and it did well in many markets. Except at being an SUV.
If you’re talking about general luxury sedans, then yes I agree.
I wouldn’t say that there are high competiveness penalties past 80K, but definitely very high engineering/manufacturing penalties. Trying to make a supercar/luxury car with high quality sliders in the 2010s is basically pointless as the game ends by the time the engineering is complete…
That’s why I really want to see what the effect of roll on engineering familiarity would do to engineering penalties. It’s literally a game changer. The engineering time would probably drop from 50 years to like 20
Also these days unless you’re building a luxo barge with more exclusivity than performance you’ll probably want a little more oomph and verve than that. The Veyron would still appear the better prospect!

So I’m toying with the idea of a mid engined muscle car as a sort of niche product, yes it will be released at a similar time to the Corvair 
mid engined V8 muscle and pony cars anyone?
I would call that more of a sports car, IMO FR is the only way to make a muscle car.
But sure I would like to see it
