BRC 1955 - The Golden Age [Qualifying R5]

BRC - Bavarian Racing Challenge - 1955

What once upon a time was the Bavarian Rallye Challenge has now become the Bavarian RACING Challenge. And with “RACING” I mean “RACING”. Direct Competition. Fighting for Position. Epic crashes. Tragic failures. Worn out tyres. Each race a unique story.

After a good start in 1945 we continue in 1955 with updated rules.

Sweet! I’ll be joining this one for sure.

Let’s see how much I can slip in the rankings this time…

I really should’ve joined the last one, I won’t make the same mistake this time! I’m in!

My car for last challenge was one of the first I’d built - let’s see how much I’ve learned since!

The larger amount of bodies and parts available will definitively make this more interesting, although I wouldn’t be surprised if the difference between the top and the average cars ends up being a bit larger.

Also, obligatory complaint about the still very crappy brakes available in 1955

Getting in early with my first attempt:

Tried to keep a little bit of that black-headlight look from the 1945, but it doesn’t work very well on this model.

(Also, setting boldly forth with a non-aerodynamic body … because apparently I hate winning.)

Here is my entrant into this competition…

The 1955 Bogliq Kitten BRC Edition!!!

Since I have no idea where my old car placed a decade ago, this car’ll definitely do better! :stuck_out_tongue: :sunglasses:

Pressure is on! I’ll only have one night on friday to have a crack before I go away for a bit, but I’ll be back to see if I can keep everyone honest again.

Also, Packbat, that car is beautiful. Just saying.

Honestly, with the more powerful, faster cars, I expect tyre wear to become a bigger issue.

Alright, alright, the engineers at KE finally got around to finding out about the amazing tech called “headlights” :stuck_out_tongue: we’ll be joining in full force!

Trying my hand at challenges, my very first submission.

BMC 2.0 CS.

Thank you! Most of the credit goes to the 3D artists who made the meshes, but I was happy with how I managed to put them together.

That’s one of the reasons why I’m trying to get in early - I want to see how much tyre wear my current setup suffers.

Superb car, bayer!

Oh man! These shitty brakes! Go for 14inch wheel and thinner tires? Go for a lighter and least powerful car? So much compromises!

Loving the challenge!

Here is my car, the Conan Frosch.

It’s very happy about something.

I like the trick with the vents on the back of the front wheel arches, Der Bayer! It’s a funny-looking car, but cool.

when we are going to have a first run? i think i have a more or less ready car!

but just have no clue on consumption and tire wear!

Probably after the weekend!

allright!

which track are you planning to?

Ardent Motors Corporation is currently conducting tests on special editions of both the Midnight and Starlight models to determine which one might be a better fit for this race.

(but stupid work keeps getting in the way)
