You take the weight in Kg (let’s say it’s 1000Kg) and multiply it by .25 (as in, for each of those 1000Kgs, you can have .25HP) and then you get how many HP you’re allowed (250HP)
KG X .25 = Allowed HP

Thank you very much I feel so dumb right now. Welp, time to make a new car from scratch
You can just make the car heavier instead! You only need 1940 kg!
Yeah, Isaac (our UE4 programmer) did that. Made a huge SUV with huge amounts of power in the hope of getting a good top speed
Der Bayer, your total cost calculations for the trim summary lua are wonky, driver assists quality and aero quality does not influence it whatsoever unlike in Automation on my car.
I just took the value out of your trim .lua file. You can take a look yourself, just open the file and search for “TotalCost”.
I’ll try reducing horsepower to squeeze more economy and I’ll add some weight (Improving reliability/safety)
Yeah I did, it didn’t budge a single cent when i altered aero and driver assists quality, I’ll give it one last shot and then send the files over so you can check yourself.
I just realized that I accidentally deleted my BRC engine.
Now I have to start from scratch. Crap.

Material costs don’t change, production units skyrocket.

Yeah, I am positive I checked total costs though, did “ctrl+f totalc” → “Totalcost”] always remained on 8509.909… in Der Bayer’s tool’s produced .lua, which is really odd since no other cars were in the folder even, increasing quality didn’t influence it either.
But, isn’t $8509.xx over the limit?
I seem to have issues accessing the newest BRC tool. Perhaps your hyperlink in the OP is broken?
AAaand submitted Doubtful I’ll do very well, since I’ve had virtually no practice in the game this past update, but we shall see.
Well crap, BRC 1966 is finally up and I am 2 weeks behind already
Also, I should not have uninstalled the game during the long time between seasons because my sub 2:20 car I made back when the big update hit is error city.
O well, eager to get started on my car, at least my well optimized engines survived!

The link is correct and the file is shared with everyone. What exactly is happening for you?
I just had another thought. When I’m loading cars both that I’ve built and that others have built, sometimes the load order changes (perhaps), and the car performance and characteristics can change not-insignificantly. The part I’m not understanding are the cars that somehow manage to corner just as hard around the radius 250m as well as 20m circle tests despite having large amounts of both front and back lift. This is not an isolated phenomenon either, which leads me to ask whether anything like that may be happening in the BRC cars.
Got a question, it seems the workshop items at not loading for me, is there a way to manually install the allowed mod or is anyone else have a problem with the workshop stuff not showing up?
As long as Automation saves the files and results correctly, there shouldn’t be issues. I do the cornering, braking and acceleration tests myself again. So as long as the car parameters are saved correctly everything should be fine.

It’s the same value in the .lua file in your Cars/Trims folder. My tool does not change any content in the file, it just renames the files. Does the car show up a different value for you in the game? 8509.909 is over the limit.
