Yeah, I am positive I checked total costs though, did “ctrl+f totalc” -> “Totalcost”] always remained on 8509.909… in Der Bayer’s tool’s produced .lua, which is really odd since no other cars were in the folder even, increasing quality didn’t influence it either.
It’s the same value in the .lua file in your Cars/Trims folder. My tool does not change any content in the file, it just renames the files. Does the car show up a different value for you in the game? 8509.909 is over the limit.
… What in the Automation. It saved my car under the old name, I renamed it half a week ago. Proper file coming soon.
Edit: sorry about that Der Bayer, seems like an odd automation bug.
in case of error, try delete any subfolder inside Models and Trims for Cars folder then delete any subfolder inside Variant and Families for Engine Folder
they usually have “olds” and “thumbs” folders that always recreated after you launched the game
The encoding error can occur when there are strange letters in the file names or car name, such as “ö”, “ä” and so on. Is this the case?
There will be at least one test before the deadline. The deadline is the deadline before the season really starts.
You can restore a car from the exported files. Just copy and paste the 4 car files in the folders where they belong. The content is exactly like it was before.
I keep getting the Lua error, even though I’ve clearned the Cars, Companies and Trims folders, leaving only my BRC entry that has nothing but normal letters in its name. I thought running as admin would help, but it didn’t.
A new BRCTool has been uploaded (again).

Tried again, not working.
I checked and none of my cars have strange letters in their names.
