No answer to my problem?
I should have probably asked this before now, we are allowed to use the safety “cheat” for reduced weight correct?
Im sure Der Bayer will look into your problem soon Nerd, he has gone over a number of problems with the tool already, just takes time to figure out what is happening.
Are you talking about -15 Basic Safety being lighter than -15 No Safety? Because that doesn’t happen any more, I believe.
(Bear in mind, though: Safety affects crashworthiness in the current BRC - Der Bayer made a post about it.)

O, I thought -15 standard safety still had an advantage over none -15.
1.2 safety is plenty… right
I don’t know - maybe you should tell your driver to rear-end someone in the next pre-season test and find out.
Without going through all 29 forum pages, Windows 10 is not letting me open the BRC tool, calling it a virus and deleting it automatically. Any workarounds?
Uninstall Windows 10, install Windows 7, life is good.
You probably need to turn your antivirus off.
There’s no way to whitelist individual programs?
I’m sure there is, what program is it, or is it in built in windows 10? Tell that and google will help us.
Windows 10, worked fine here.
Run as admin
Click on advanced options, there will be an option to allow it he programme to work. Or run as admin.
@bobwiley, on the irc we have settled for about 20 safety, just in case

Whelp… looks like 5.8 is all my car is getting (advanced safety -15)
wowowowowowow… hold on there…
i totally forgot about this. what does safety affects?
also, you’re telling me that you guys have been getting 2:21s WITH non-zero safety values?
awesome way to kill my hope… not

i never touch quality slider but still managed to hit 2:20
i rather tune my weight later when i need balance my power/ratio but lowering my safety somehow make the car slower so i keep it at 0 quality
Ha, clearly I need to be more ambitious. I don’t think I’ve found a way to get 2:20 without cranking up the negative camber, if even that.
Yeah, I’m with you strop. I think my second prototype is in the 2:21.xx range, but I’m going the complete other way with strategy with this design and suspension tune.
People actually have safety and 2:20 range… back to the ol’ drawing board (more weight, more power)
At least my V12 seems fairly efficient, 1 pit stop for all but the worst races (.7 r value and higher)
It just sorta dawned on me. The BRC brobot has flying lap times, as in, we start at speed, while automation laptimes are calculated from a standing start…
Yep, S2 and S3 times are what you want to improve for “real life” gains.
