BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 7 P&Q]
cmon. no race today. i think it’s a chance for both of us to fix our sleeping schedule. right?

written at 00:31am GMT+7 @ 14th february :stuck_out_tongue:
i think its already too late, its already next day and still no sign of sleepy due the hype of race tonight since its the KnockDownHill
Its uploading now. I will post a link once its up.

I only had one day available this past week to do the review. Things can get crazy when you are in college full time, have a business to run that you are trying to expand (again full time), and running a youtube channel. I also had to go to a dinner event with two people from congress. I think I pissed off the election coordinator guy since I showed up to a formal dinner wearing work boots, cargo pants and a US Army sweat shirt still carrying my inspection equipment. But whatever.
I would watch that sitcom

It would probably be very boring.

The video is processing now. Now to see if youtube processes it or if it gets stuck in processing which seems to happen every 5th video.

You’re quite the busy bee.
Say, when you are already having a business successful enough to meet congressmen, do you really need a college degree?

The degree is mostly for my own interest and I get GI Bill benefits to pay for it. I dont actually make that much money with my business yet (granted looking at my to do list its nearly 1k worth of work). I know one of the two congress people from helping them get elected.

The first BRC1966 reviews are at this link.

The video is still processing so you might need to wait half an hour or so.

it said the video is private. is it just not done processing or something else?

update:
thx for the video genjeft, and everyone that was on it.

also i think you guys are mistaking the 2 cornering graphs on the suspension tab and the aero tab.
the graph on the suspension tab says it’s a low speed cornering graphs
the super interesting graph on the aero tab says it’s a high speed cornering graphs.

now, i just ruined my sleeping schedule again. or maybe i just won’t sleep at all. :stuck_out_tongue:
uhh genjeft?
why the triple post?

Because I like to see my own typing (not really, I am just doing several things at once.)

Its public now, youtube did not save all my settings when it was uploaded.

Nice reviews, surprised you got so few entries though.

Interesting to see that both mine and 07Cobaltgirl’s have similar highspeed handling.

Thanks for the reviews, GenJeFT and Packbat! Of course we get to see how they compare on the tracks, but it’s always nice to see how they compare underneath as well. My car is essentially a production car converted for BRC racing. The engine is easily good for another 35-50hp, or it could be cut in quality and compression ratio to make it completely streetable. Same with suspension, which actually started as a sport setting and adjusted for racing. The car is very loosely based on a Corvette.

**Quick Trivia: This engine with 44.x reliability blew up (DNF-Engine Failure) during the second training at ATT! **

Looking forward to seeing the rest, and if you’re up for it, I hope we get more submitted to review!

Thanks for the great reviews, fun to watch and got a few ideas on how to improve for a future event, brakes for instance were suboptimal. As for some of the weird choices like 4 seats and such, i had most of the setup tuned how i liked it, and needed a few extra kilos as well as better weight distribution. Did not know about the 4x4 until races were on so derp on that. Look forward to the continuatiion of the series, keep up the great work GenJeFT and Packbat!

Looking forward to my car review, waiting patiently to hear your reaction to my front tires and camber settings :stuck_out_tongue:

@Packbat and @GenJeFT thanks for great reviews  but my car is totally glitched!
Yes I’ve got fixtures (nice ones), no I did not go for that chopped back in trim section, yes I did make a mistake with engine tuning and there is absolutely no hard feeling for you pointing that out - a was looking forward to that so there will be no next time failure (riso now showed me how it should be - the more you know), I do not know yet much about suspension so I went from sport and fiddle with it (and I am very pleased with cornering values), my ATT time should be 2.22.9, my weight 100kg lower and distribution better.
Tanks for taking your time doing this it’s nice to be able to see what others came up with.

EDIT: DerBayer is there any chance to verify that current version of my car racing in brobot isn’t glitched as this one? That could be the case of me doing 20 places worse than in pre-season. Or it’s just that engine…

Der Bayer I’d be glad to have an explanation about my car doing 20 places worse aswell :stuck_out_tongue:

You can compare your Trump card with the ingame values. If the Major stats like power, weight and cornering match then there is no problem.

@AirJordan: Y’know, the files from the BRCTool are fully compatible with Automation. If everything looks right on your trump card, you can send GenJeFT and I the last .zip file you sent Der Bayer, and we can load that into the game - should be fixed.

Trump cards and sheets are correct. Oh damn you lack of tuning knowledge.

I know it saved my ass couple of times  will do that, thanks for the effort

Just a quick check to make sure: Is the race still on for the weekend? Quite eager to see the next episode evolve, and have to plan the weekend soon

…hmm. I’m trying to figure out who in the top 10 is fast in the rain and who is slow by looking at Silverstone again, but it’s not especially easy to parse out. If I cancel out the effects of pit stops (approximately) and compare qualifying positions to race results, though, it looks like Absurdist and Der Bayer may lose a little time to rain and marcus817 and mattmr2 will probably gain. So keep an eye on those latter two particularly - assuming no bad luck or bad pit strategy, they may have a very good race coming.
