WTF happened to my engine?!? 47 reliability… :frowning:

Technically the Vikus did not fail, it finished the race.

Same happened to my engine in pre-season with 45 reliability. So, it happens.

Engine failures are the most heartbreaking - certainly if you have a car like Vikus with 1.3, you will be out, but the probability dies off so slowly as you get to higher reliability… -_-

Or spinning out 18 seconds before the finish line and destroying the car despite high reliability AND safety!

I kind of share that feeling CobaltGirl : I did not expect to have 178% damage in one crash despite having 24.4 safety.

It looks like I have a pattern for this season : bad race in Silverstone, good race in Snetterton, bad race in Knockhill… here’s hoping I can rebound in Oulton Park
Speaking of, which layout will be used : Fosters, Island or International ?

This is not real…my car was well suited for this track and boom, engine failed.

I gotta ask. Does this count as Vikus finishing a race?

The car didn’t cross the finish line under its own power, so I say no.

Two crashes in the first laps put me in the pits for the whole race… Quite gutted for sure.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I am so happy that I included the csv export  The wrap up video will be at the beginning of the next practise video.
I don’t know why the cars with engine failures have not been removed from the track, but that should be an easy fix.

I must send a memo to my driver, that over-exuberant driving will not make up for the car’s natural deficits! It was probably fortunate that the car was taken out of commission fairly early in the race.

(Apologies to HOL and KLinardo, and anybody else that my car may have hit. They were some big ones, too.)

So I survived an early crash with strop, had the damage fixed, pitted for wet tires, came out and pretty much instantly got wrecked out of the race. I feel like my car has been in quite a few wrecks this season…

Certainly a sobering sight, this race should’ve been called the Fender Bender 500. While I’m not too thrilled with my cars performance, I am glad it made it to the end.

So it looks like my car can’t even take a mild shunt before the engine blows up. There’s that 15.3 engine reliability coming back to haunt me :astonished:

On a positive note - im quite surprised that my car didn’t completely fail a slower circuit.

^ That sentiment is why I’m (as well as several others are) so disappointed. I think my car would have fared well here because it was a more technical track. I base that on the best lap times from the 7-9 laps or so that my car ran w/out damage and on dry asphalt. It’s all speculative though.

If you noticed, I know exactly how you all feel. It is very frustrating indeed.
