BRC 1976 - Under Pressure [E8-Q]

oh right, another possiblity is the mistranslation of the timezone… of which i did a lot of. i tend to give my self up to a day early just to be safe now

yup, i though CEST is 6 hour earlier than here but actually is 5 hours ealier after i check my windows clock

so no problem then though i can do better now if but i rather not for sake fairness

you could also just look it up there

#Trump Cards

Trump Cards are done, cars have gone through scrutineering. I have not done the 110% lap time check yet though.

so many Porsche, and im surprised my fuel economy isn’t bad as i predicted

bloody, someone have car with literally 4 difficulty threshold

The displayed fuel economy is the in-game value. Nothing to predict there. Race fuel economy will be completely different.

Only five cars under one difficulty. That’s going to be some fun driving errors.

Special mention: @Trollercoaster with a difficulty of four.

ummm der bayer? i’m pretty sure that’s not the car i sent you yesterday…

I’m 100% sure it is. Check what you sent. Car in the last PM is from July 21.

I quite like Bpopboy’s method for preventing other from passing him.

no… i sent you one yesterday

OH FFS, it’s the brctool again.
it’s supposed to overwrite anything already in there right?
well yesterday it decided not to do it. the dates on the .lua file are still from 22nd.

so, do i have to run with what’s in there now?

Yes. The car in the zip is from July 21.

so apparently i zipped the same car and sent the same car twice because i didn’t noticed this problem. because i didn’t double check the last time around

that date was not on the 22nd/21st

so can i resubmit or i’m going with what’s already in the brobot?

i mean it wouldn’t be the end of the world, but i just won’t be doing the strategy i meant to do.

@Bpopboy WHAT A WING :smiley:

I guess it’ll be a battle between wedges and 911s (and @nerd’s van :joy:).

I fear my gearing is too long…well at least I’ll be able to slip stream on hockenheinm

Trump cards are as awesome as ever. I think you outdid all of us with that livery @Der_Bayer.

Alas… @nerd for mvp. The big bad van, I love it!

So many fantastic cars.

I have to say though, wedges forever. Serve with a side of gravy and clear superiority :stuck_out_tongue: #TeamWedge

Also, if anyone is interested,

@Absurdist O lordy, almost 1200 economy at max RPM, makes me feel good being just under 950 at max RPM, although maybe that means I’m not burning enough fuel…

Wow… I clearly did something wrong with my tires/suspension, so many of the 911 bodies with greater an 1.1 cornering… may have killed my chances because of that… I should have just run my FR car to be different at this point I think. :expressionless:

@Der_Bayer Not sure if it matters, but my car’s name is Lopare, Competition was the trim name. I don’t really care about the Trump cards being correct, but if the name is shown elsewhere I would like it to be correct. Sorry I didn’t realize the tool must have used the trim name and not the model name.

Except for Agnew and Trollercoaster’s absolutely impossibly powerful inline 6, I have the highest HP… that automatically means I take 3rd place for every race, right?

After looking at the trump cards, a part of me now thinks I left my top speed too low. But 278 seemed ideal for Hockenheim (because it juuuust hits the limiter on the longest straight) and seemed to be the fastest 'round the 'ring.

I’m screwed at SPA with all those 300kmh cars around of course.

While I was playing around with suspension, I did see values above 1.1 but the 1.05/1.04 I eventually ran with was considerably faster in the in-game simulation. So it should be alright, unless there’s an undiscovered bug/difference between brobot and the game.

Off topic: Not sure where to ask this because the support section seems to be just for the game.
Is there a way to have the little message thing in the top right, on discourse, to show its message every time there is a new post WITHOUT getting an email with every single post. I thought I had set my settings correctly, but I get an email every time there is a post in this thread and its very annoying.

 • Include an excerpt of replied to post in emails - Unchecked
 • Send me an email when someone messages me - Checked
 • Send me an email when someone quotes me, replies to my post… - Checked
 • Send me an email for every new post (unless I mute the topic or category) - Unchecked

I am “watching” this topic so that I get a notification on here whenever there is a new post, which is all I want.

this is my setting and i never have any e-mails from here

At 1.5+ camber on tyres I’m at a crazy amount of wear for the 1.16-1.19 G rating I’ve been show in the game.
I’ve tested semi slicks and sport tyres with results being a full 1-2 seconds slower per lap, putting me at a higher percentage of being in danger of the fall off point. I was seeing a higher rate of wear on a V6TT motor I built and Automation subsequently ate but for around the same lap timing. Suspension tuning is hard mode. If I had another 48hrs to develop and another two weeks to tweak and test

Victorian Hooray Racing will be moderately interesting for a first season. But what it’s about is having fun and sipping your gin and tonic while watching your car go round and round.
