BRC 1976 - Under Pressure [E8-Q]

Ok. Now I´m quite confused

Also it didn´t answer my question. If the humidity is right in your window (e.g. 65 % humidity and the inter-wet window is 70 % to switch to wet and 50 % to switch to inters) what tyres will you start with?

I know that it doesn´t have anything to do with rain intensity

Friendly reminder for those who want to share a full review of their car to send their car to @GenJeFT
Since packbat is not partaking at the moment, I will probably be assisting GenJeFT with the reviews

For those who are unsure, here is the link to the BRC66 reviews

Ignore what I said about the start, if it’s 65% intensity it will be 65% humudity and so you will start on which ever tires you have said you want at 65% humudity

Not sure that helps him, what he means is, say you have it set as,

Inter > Wet at 70%
Wet > Inter at 60%

So that 65% is in the gap in between, how does the simulation handle that? Which tyre would you start on?

The simulation takes the values from dry to wet at the start. So the slicks to intermediates value and the whatever to wet values count. In your case it would be inters if the slicks to intermediates value is lower than 65.

I will answer the other questions after the weekend. You will have until Friday to submit the strategies.

Does pit window (pit only between X% and Y%) also prevent SC reaction? If that doesn’t make sense: Let’s say I have first scheduled pit at 40%, window from 20% ans SC at 40%. If SC happens at 5%, will I pit or not?

I will have to look it up, but probably not.

We got 8 cars for the BRC car reviews, keep them coming.

Will do.

i do not understand what the brc reviews are. Are they like der bayer talking about the car on youtube?

nah. it’s something we do aside from the brc.
it’s not run by der bayer, but rather usually by genjeft and packbat.

the car being reviewed are your car for the brc, if you choose to send it to them. but it’s just an icing on the cake.

what files do I need to send?

Model and Engine files for the car you submitted. There should be two model files and two engine files.

To be clear so there can be no misunderstandings, the files you get when you export your car in game. NOT the BRCtool files.

Once you click export in game, you will find them in;
C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Automation\Export

Definitely worth doing. Last season’s where awesome.

Already did send my files in via in game export tool
Got one model, trim, engine family and engine trim file

12 cars so far.

Like someone else earlier, since submission I’ve somehow managed to delete my car. Unless anyone knows whether you can recover it from the files submitted to Der Bayer then I can’t (sadly) send mine in for review

You can’t but Der_Bayer can convert them back to automation files. So ask him

Alright, time to answer some questions!

Your car sucks

On intermediates.
The process is this: Car is in the pits on dry tyres. If the Slicks2Intermediates value is lower than the track humidity, then intermediate tyres are applied (if you “use inters” at all). After that: If the whatever2Wets value is lower than the track humidity, Wets are applied.

I could do that if I could plan better, but I cannot plan 1 week in advance right now because of real life. I will update the first post whenever I have information.

  • set the “To Wets” threshold lower then initial track humidity
  • set the “Wets To Intermediates” threshold to a value which matches the estimated track humidity at ~30-35% of race percentage
  • set the “whatever to slicks” threshold to a value which matches the estimated track humidity at ~60% of race percentage

That’s not going to happen. This is a forum competition and I intend to make it possible that players can participate without numbercrunching for each track. I might think of a new strategy mode/revised strategy system for next season though. This season things will stay as they are.

Yes, only the *-Info.lua file.

At the start it uses the values from dry → wet. During the race it uses the values connected to your current compound.

General information: I’ll try to catch @Pyrlix and arrange the first race at the upcoming weekend.

How about this? Is probably not: a) It will probably not prevent SC reaction or probably will not pit?
