hooray, I actually got a point! With Absurdist plowing through the ridiculously tightly bunched pack late in the second race, my POS somehow managed to grab onto his coat tails and jumped from 27th to 21st in the follow-through!
Car’s still a POS though. I’m skeptical it’s even going to make it up Kesselchen xD
Oof - my car was very, very poor in the reverse start, this time. Simply could not make a pass for love or money.
Edit: A thought - when it comes to acceleration in race situations, I wonder if the 80-120 kph (50-75 mph) acceleration time might be more relevant than the 0-100 kph (0-62 mph) time.

I believe some of us have discussed this before, it is pretty important to have good 80-120 acceleration as most of the time (with good cornering speed) you won’t drop below 80kph and therefore getting back up to speed out of corners requires gearing that facilitates good 80-120 acceleration.
