There has been a lot of talk about flathead engines lately, and it gave me an idea. If Automation were to expand its lineup of valve trains with flatheads, why not add cam less engines on the other end of the spectrum? Cam less engines have been used in Formula 1 for quite some time now and Koenigsegg has plans to launch a cam less engine. It could also add another level of game play to the engine designer by adding a valve train that unlocks after a certain amount of years (like 2014 or something) so that there is more motivation to research top end technologies, as currently you can have a 20 valve DOHC engine in the forties. This would be a nice thing to have in the game so could it please be included?
F1 don’t have camless engines just pneumatic springs and the fact that camless engines is still some way off it would mean that the tech year of the first production camless valvetrain will be way past 2020.
speaking of camless, what at about wankel rotaries?
I heard Koenigensiggennoe’s camless engine was still a few years out because of noise and harshness issues?
