Campain Mode

Not sure if this has been covered elsewhere but what are the plans for Tycoon mode? What is to be included, maybe included and NOT included (at the first release)

One thing I’d like to see is the ability to see your company grow. As in you start the campaign in a really small factory (only able to say make a couple of cars at one time) and the car design room is like an oldish shed and as you earn money you have the ability to buy new and bigger factories.

In fact here is a little something I have been working on. Feed back is much appreciated. I hope the dev team checks it out. Anyway:

THE CONCEPT - TYCOON MODE

INTRO (possible a voice over as at the first loading screen?)

“After years of working for other car manufacturing companies you have finally saved up enough money to start your own business. You have purchased yourself a small rustic factory to get your business started and a little cash on the side to pay for expenses. Now go out there and get yourself known; because in the car industry… Anything is possible.”

These words will be spoken as a short intro movie plays. The movie will begin by fading down from the sky into an old industrial estate. The camera zooms in onto a person walking along. Camera cuts to them as they reach a rustic glass door which has “SALES” written on it. Camera cuts inside as the person enters. The camera pans around the person as he signs some papers. then the camera fades out. It then fades in to reveal the person walking along a lonesome driveway. Then the person stops looks up then the camera pans back to reveal the rustic factory with the words SOLD in a window.

GAMEPLAY
When you begin, you’ll find yourself in the factory (only a couple hundred feet in size), you must assign which room will be for what. Where the production like will be, where your office is, the sales office and where the car design studio is.

The game should offer a truly impressive variety of viewing perspectives. such as over head cam or free look.

As is typical of every real-life simulator, you’ll see a number of assignments available, each filled with a given order ranging from making your first car to having at least 1,000,000 credits in your account.

If you manage to make a gem of a car, you’ll use the resulting pay check to increase your bank account, effect necessary research or upgrades, and improve your company’s rating. With a better rating, you’ll be able to offer a higher price tag on your cars. With more-profit, you’ll gradually improve and upgrade your company by purchasing new factories, hire workers to handle the extra workload, and, with any luck, grow your company to obscene proportions.

That’s just a little something I have come up with while playing the current available version of the game. I don’t expect it to be like this but it would be nice if it came close.

Well, you certainly will start the game as a small company and have to build it up, there won’t really be missions/assignments though. You’ll design cars to manufacture and sell, build new factories, research new tech etc.
