Shhh I may not look like it, but I secretly like all Skylines. Even down to the G37.
Well GT-Rs that is. Non GT-Rs are the ugliest sedans I have ever seen, no kidding. Not boring, just plain ugly.

For outrunning Veyronās and getting puss
Not going to lieā¦ I canāt identify what car that used to be. Assuming you know what it isā¦ you need to post that in the Guess What Car Game.
Simpleā¦ itās grotesque. The Vantage is much more attractive to me. Like the Juke though, Iāll give them points for trying something differentā¦ even if it ended up looking like a frog.
I think the R32 and R33 sedans are beautifulā¦ but the R34 sedan does indeed look disproportionate. I think the DR30 sedan looked just as good as the coupe, and in the case of the G35 and G37; I think they look better as sedans than as coupesā¦ but thatās just me. Theyāre also more suited to being a sedan because of their weight and comfort. Theyāre really quick for sedansā¦ but not quite quick enough to be a coupe, IMO. Thatās what the 370Z is forā¦ no need to make a fatter version of her.
I seriously canāt believe this. What would you say is the āmost beautiful carā in your eyes then?
No hard feelings manā¦ it just doesnāt adhere to my concept of aesthetics. There are too many lines that donāt flow into each other, andā¦ things stick out a bit too much. Individually, the tail-lights are cool, I kinda like them because theyāre modeled after twist-on wire connectorsā¦ and I like that pseudo-spoilerā¦ but it just doesnāt work together. The lower rear bumper sticks out too far and makes it look derpy. I donāt know WTF is going on there with the side-sills and that vent, but I donāt like it. I Googled the front end, and I like that even less. It just says āall your air are belong to meā, and those fog-lights are ugly. Itās like a kid stuck his hands in his mouth and is stretching it out.
I find it really hard to pick a single, or even level it down to a few of the most beautiful cars. So many cars were produced, and each era comes with different stylings.
I guess Lamborghini has made the most, at least by volume. Iām a fan of the Espada, Murcielago, Gallardo, late-model Diablos (the ones with 300zx headlights), and maybe the Aventador, but that oneās starting to border on grotesque. I still like itā¦ but I donāt consider it a flawless design when referring to my rules of aesthetics. Iām kind of fighting myself there.
I love the Lancia Stratos; no matter how weird or impractical it is.
Nissan holds a quite few spots on my list, but theyāre also close to my heart. The first GT-R; the 1969 C10 is beautiful. The DR30 Skylines are by far the most beautiful cars of the āsquareā era to my eyes. Theyās just so wide and flat. Iād say R32 Skylines are among the most elegant cars. Most people think theyāre bland, but I see elegance through simplicity in them. I wouldnāt change a single thing about them. Maybe theyād look even better with square tail-lights instead of four round ones, or a bar-style light like on 240SXsā¦ that could be possible.
I drool over the Nissan CUE-X concept to this day.
Iāve mentioned a few cars in my previous posts that I likeā¦ notably the 3rd gen Kia Optima. Again, would not change a thing on herā¦ except that side-vent is extra I think. Might have looked even better without it. Mechanics-wise it could be a lot more interestingā¦ notable AWD or RWDā¦ but thatās another story.
The Mercedes W201 is a pure design; though again, I feel vents are unnecessary. The C-Pillar vent in this case.
For the 60ās and 70ās, I like some notable American vehicles. The 1961 Lincoln Continental, 1965 Pontiac GTO, and the 1971 Dodge Challenger are the most attractive examples to me. Going older into America runs into strictly grotesque styling, though though it gets better again from 1950 backwards. In fact Iām a fan of the 1951 Chevrolet Bel Airā¦ though most people like the later '57 or '58 models which I really dislike.
And for comic reliefā¦ laugh all you wantā¦ I adore the UAZ-452. My opinions will be discounted if I say sheās beautifulā¦ so I wonāt say that. Iāll say sheās cute. I always did prefer cute girls to beautiful girls. Even better if sheās both though
Actually, since I mentioned the Loafā¦ I should also mention I have an affinity for the first and second generation Gaz Volga; the Gaz-21, and Gaz-24. The Volgas are more for the purpose of this actual thread, rather than our little rant about beauty.

Not at all I guess contemporary styling isnāt your thing.
wellā¦ least itās better than another style i weirdly likeā¦

What do you think of this car?
Get rid of the bit of metal separating the windshield/door glass from the sunroof, and replace that with glass, and itād be a lot more interesting to me. Wouldnāt want to drive it either way, but itād be interesting.

I think I found your new favourite word.
Grotesque is an aesthetic concept, and a style. Rat Fink is the poster-child for it in modern times. The āoriginalā 16th century Grotesque style was fairly different from what we refer to it as today. An accepted definition of grotesque is āa very ugly or comically distorted figure, creature, or image.ā
Grotesque need not always be a derogatory term; though most people refer to it as such. I am not a fan of this style.
Some examples of the cars I find grotesque;
The 1933 Pierce Arrow Silver Arrow; especially the rear;
2000 Hyundai RD2 Tiburon
Pagani Huayra
Iām a fan of the industrial or āworkhorseā style too.
I can identify that itās a Saab at first glance without any of their trademarksā¦ thatās always a good sign of talented design. Pretty nice for a conceptā¦ I like it. It almost looks like they could push it through to production like this; though I know they wonāt; because Saab. That dip in the side-glass will be removed, and I think itāll look even better with a smooth arc from the front to back, similar to a Lancia Stratosā glass. The windshield rake will probably be lessened and the roof will be slightly higher, and sheāll lose about 2-3 inches off the wheels. She should still look just as good if not better.
