CSC69 - The Rebirth

Brief

Huron Motor Company.
A Canadian/American car company built upon the market failures of the 70s/80s.

Today Huron makes regular cars and is looking to update its current model lineup.

So far in the New lineup they have the Huron Ontario, A 3-row large SUV and the Marion midsize sedan. All models are named after either lakes or the islands of Lake Huron.

The executives want to continue their most successful model yet, The Cheneaux.
A sporty 4-door liftback with an urban utility styling.

Guidelines

Huron is looking for either A) a continuation of the Cheneaux model or B) a new model that fills the segment.

What we need

  • 2025-2026 model year
  • Should follow design language of the brand
  • Named after an island of Lake Huron OR a lake if it’s a new model and not a Cheneaux.
  • Wheelbase from 100in to 120in (not too picky along as it makes sense)
  • 4-door Sportback styling
  • Hatchback or sedan
  • Modern clean design, nothing retro
  • Your choice of powertrain ICE, EV, Hybrid. Open to all
  • Road-legal vehicles
  • Interiors are not required but welcome
  • Advanced trims are free
  • doesn’t have to match automation 4 door/ hatch body. As long as it looks like one.

Very cool

now this is epic

No engineering rules or priorities?

CSC is generally not an engineering based challenged. Most rounds don’t tend to include it at all

I’m assuming this must be simulated by setting model/trim years to 2020, since those can’t be newer than that in-game. The lore can still state that the car is for the 2025/26 model years, though.

It doesn’t matter. I could care less if it’s set to 2003. As long as it looks like a 2026 vehicle

Can this be from a visual point of view, be a normal ICE or hybrid or ev?

You say that we are to use design language that matches the language provided in the pictures. However, if we are creating a brand new model, can we be allowed a bit more freedom with design language over the current model?

Would this count as the hatch body?

IMO that’s a Liftback, and that matches current model we are replacing.
(Also I think that’s the same body I’m using Xiang or something like that)

matching it’s headlight design was pain

I’m open to anything. It would probably be on a modular platform so it could take any driveline you would like

Yeah of course you can be creative. Not looking for a copy of the other car. But looking like its in the same family would be good.

@AKA_NOBUDDY Yes that works. The same body was used for the original model so it’s good.

Would a 5 door fastback count as a liftback?

That’s the same thing
