2021 Arco Peluria CV

The 2021 Arco Peluria CV is the answer to the question of “How can we make a Coupe SUV actually look cool.” Arco settled on keeping as many of the elements of the concept version of the Peluria as possible for their answer. A sharply swept shoulder line, airy glass greenhouse, and angular front facia provide an aggressive look for the Peluria, something not commonly seen on a CUV of this price point. The 23 inch Grattuggia rims add to this sporty demeanor, and the small hatch wing completes the look. The engineering in the Peluria CV is where Arco has been able to keep their costs down to be able to keep the concept’s detailing. The tried and true 2.2 L Turbocompressore inline 4 is what provides the Peluria CV with it’s 301 hp. With a redline of 8300, that is the typical high revving goodness that is expected from an Arco engine(don’t worry, the engine is rated to deal with rpms in excess of 10k, so no reliability issues here). To make appropriate use of that power in the high rev range, the Peluria has the new 9 speed Senzacorsa automatic, with multiple power distribution modes to either prioritize MPG, or all out performance. This is paired with rear biased AWD system that helps the Peluria achieve a 0-60 time of just over 7 seconds. Not too shabby for a 4522 lb, 184 inch long CUV. The eLSD in the AWD system also allows the Peluria to actively adapt to whatever terrain it’s on.

While the underpinnings of the Peluria allow it to be a competent and agile machine, the interior specifications are where the it truly shines. The original Peluria concept was to maximize the illusion of cabin space and help the passengers feel like they weren’t enclosed at all. That’s why the Peluria has maintained the huge glass roof from the concept. The whole roof was stiffened and uses hidden roll cage geometry, as well as lighter composites to counteract the weight of the panel and to ensure passenger safety in case of a roll over. There is also a retractable uv resistant sun shade for those days when the sun is too strong. While the roof gives that open air feeling, the standard dual zone climate control, supple air suspension, and lux leather, shown here in Noir over Radia Atomica, give the Peluria the fluffy and comfortable driving experience the CUV was named after. The centerpiece of the cabin though is the crystalline center display, making use of translucent OLED touch screen technology from LG and is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The infinity mirror effect behind the display has multiple brightness settings for maximum readability and the whole unit, as well as the digital gauge cluster, can be controlled from the two touch pads on the arms of the steering wheel. The Peluria is equipped with premium Alpine sound system, 60/40 split folding rear seat with appropriate child seat locks, foot operated rear hatch, and a full suite of cameras for parking assistance and lane control.

The test vehicle shown here is painted in the launch edition colour combo of Sharp Grigio Tang body, Gloss Black roof, and Noir and Radia Atomica leather interior. This is meant to most closely mimic the Peluria concept vehicle and other more tame colour options are available, such as Cherry Pop Red, Ceilo Aperto, Aspen Green, Nieve Pearl, and Inchiostro. For a full list of options and packages available, please contact your nearest Arco dealer.

After letting the water wash away the filth on his body after a long day, Marko opens the bathroom door. As the cool air of the air conditioned room floods onto his somewhat dry body, he sees a slender figure laying across on sofa, with a phone in hand. The loose shirt on Emillia’s body contrasts with her bare legs, while still firm enough to reveal the proportions of her figure. Emillia’s weight allows her body to sink into the softly filled leather sofa, and her pale skin reflects the dim candle lights in a soft manner. Marko wanted to come to her, but he is quite delighted at the sight, so he decided to stay quiet and enjoy this sight.

“Mark, why’re you just standin’ there like a weirdo?” Emilia eventually noticed him, placing her phone down next to her and looking at him with a weird face.
“Aww, I was hoping you would stay there a bit longer, you look adorable lying on sofa with just your panties.” He smirked. “Also, don’t you think it’s pretty late?” Marko says as Emillia flushes out of embarrasement and throws a pillow towards him, he fortunately manages to catch the pillow as he slowly approached her.

“But I won’t move from this couch, so what’re ya gonna do?” Emillia teases as she lays down into the sofa, mocking him with a smug grin as she stretches her arms behind her head and poses down in a gravure manner, seemingly like an invitation.
"Alright, alright, my lazy queen- " Marko puts his hands behind her back and legs, and lifts her up from the couch. “- I expect nothing less from you.”

As they enter the bedroom, Marko lowers his hands, allowing her to roll onto the bed before sitting down on the bed next to her shortly after. He looks at his wife, just laying about carelessly, before looking around the room and noticing their smart speaker atop one of the drawers.

“Alexa, play my slow dancing mix.” Marko said as he looked over at his wife.
“May I have this dance?” He leaned over and took her hand. She chuckled at him for a bit, and Marko was visibly flustered. “C’mon, like old times?”

Emilia eventually stopped her chuckling, and became flustered herself. She sat up from their large white bed, her hand still in Marko’s. “I guess we shall~!” She said as she scooted over to be next to Marko. The two got up and together they danced into the night to the sounds of ballads of their childhood.

Time ticked and only continued to pass by as the music played, the two were hand-in-hand, cheek-to-cheek as the night only went on for the two of them.

Sakura XQ Clubsport 4Trek V6

@nate21

Incorrect naming convention.

Other things of note were the 90 degree v6, 5v per cylinder all forged internals. The power curve may seem fine at first until you realise it’s turbocharged and the turbo spools at 7800 rpm. 13.4:1 a/f mixture, 38 loudness among other things that wouldn’t make this competitive.

Blaire Rodman CoupCross SportTourX

@desperatedonut5

Longer than maximum wheelbase allowed.

Shame because it looked quite good, and engineering also seemed rather compelling.

Wells X-Line 5dr sport

@DuceTheTruth100

Incorrect naming convention.

Turbo that doesn’t spool at all (Aka literally doesn’t hit boost). 11.5 fuel mixture combined with zero overdrive gives the worst fuel eco in the field by a big margin. Fibre glass bodywork and automatic lockers in 2020. Wouldn’t have been very competitive. Oh yeah we couldn’t find the wheel mod you used, not that it would’ve mattered.

Daytona X Sportline

@voiddoesnotknow

Incorrect naming convention.

5L Boxer 6, 6 speed auto in 2020, among other weird engineering choices that wouldn’t really give this an edge over other vehicles.

AMW Ibex V6

@TheTom

Incorrect naming convention.

Wouldn’t have gotten far anyway had it been accepted, 90 degree V6, not using up all of the octane, very low specific output for the given displacement, economy-driven minmax tune of the turbos and upper end.

@Mako

Incorrect naming convention.

We wait patiently; Hopefully Camshaft doesn’t sneakily change engine boxes again

Should 90-deg V6s really be considered a binnable/downscorable offense? They exist on actual production cars today, and represent a very simple industrial concept (Basically downsizing your V8 with a hacksaw lmao). The cars using them probably already have a penalty levied on them in the form of lowered comfort due to smoothness, so if their stats are still good enough to squeak by they should certainly be considered.

I don’t think any entries were actually binned for the engine, he was just giving feedback for what might’ve hurt them in the competition had they qualified. Even if 90-deg V6’s are realistic and make sense, they’re still at a disadvantage stat-wise compared to other kinds of engines.

Yeah, all of those were instabins - but when “90-deg V6” is listed alongside “5l Boxer-6”, “6-speed auto in 2020” and so on, it gives off the impression that nobody should even consider choosing it.

People are generally a bit harsh about the configuration IMO. I’m really no enthusiast about it (or V6 engines at all), but considering how happy Mercedes have been about putting them in about everything they make for the last 25 years, I think that they sure do have their place in this class.

mercedes 90deg v6’s are a thing, i was surprised about that. it shouldn’t be as bad as a 5 L Boxer 6 as previously mentioned
 just a little odd
in this game they are heavily penalized in stats
with harmonic balancers introduced, they will be a lot more viable
im sure the mercedes engines are balanced nicely, unlike a 90 deg v6 in game currently, which is a rattly mess.

They have balance shafts, yes. (And well, I may sort of agree that until that feature gets introduced they may ruin the stats of a luxury car by their nature anyway
)

Just listening about the engine tuning as well as hearing of a 5l Boxer is enough to drive me insane. The hell we’re you thinking? I missed 2 CSRs while being cooked alive for a month during my time in the sandbox.

MaruMaruKon~

Yeah but what’s the mileage
2mpg?

nagatoro enjoyer

uhh let’s see
Cars N’ Lovers says it’ll do 18mpg

MaruMaruKon~

Could be worse ig
18 is a bit high but tolerable

SpaceBoy2020

Apparently it’s also pretty loud

Dropping_Suisei

:hamburger:

SpaceBoy2020

It also says that the interior uses lots of premium materials and is loaded with features, even though the design is a bit boring
And it’s actually pretty comfy
Handling is bit soft at the limits considering its power, but it’s not too bad either

MaruMaruKon~

That sounds alright except the engine noise
The styling looks off tho, to me at least

nagatoro enjoyer

Yeah
Those headlights are like 2x too big than what is should be
Doesn’t look premium either too

Dropping_Suisei

See
Told you not to get a coupe SUV

MaruMaruKon~

Shut

SpaceBoy2020

I think the back end looks alright with the modern LEDs and stuff
But yeah it’s out of proportions (edited)
It’s kinda like a 2000s designer tasked with making a car for 2020, to me at least

MaruMaruKon~

Anyways, how much is it

nagatoro enjoyer

55k
And servicing is apparently more expensive than average

MaruMaruKon~

Hmm
I’ll consider for now it ig (edited)

nagatoro enjoyer

You taste in cars has really gotten worse as time goes lmao
Btw, I noticed something weird about this
The marketing materials says this is a 4 seat car
But the picture I found clearly shows 5 seats
But anyways

SpaceBoy2020

Taillights are bit odd to me
But yeah that is nice
Really captures the elements of the brand’s identity

nagatoro enjoyer

This one has about 300hp
Also natasp V8 (edited)

MaruMaruKon~

Only 300hp from a V8?

nagatoro enjoyer

Yeah it’s not very high strung
So that it’s eco and quiet
Pretty cheap to maintain too, according to C&L anyways
They also said something about the handing being actually pretty nice

SpaceBoy2020

so

Considered?

MaruMaruKon~

Considered
I like this

nagatoro enjoyer

Ooo, the next one is from belgium

MaruMaruKon~

Oh yeah
Belgium
I went there with emmy last year
Great food
Great countryside views
Emmy looks gorgeous there
I wish we had our honeymoon there it would’ve been nice
Her in a white dress
Her short hair glistening in the morning Belgian sun
She would be so perfect there

nagatoro enjoyer

Deleu-Mathers kG38 Sport

@asami

Detailed

There isn’t any major problems with the looks, apart from some proportion issues, and being too dull for a 2020 car, and just not much to look at. The engineering however, has quite a few issues. 90 deg V6 isn’t deal for this game due to the engine smoothness calculations, but it gives you an disadvantage, and this is the least of problems that this car has. The turbo spools at 4300 rpm, high brake fade, 225 wide tires on a 400hp car and one of the lowest sport and reliability all contribute to this car not passing the first round.

MaruMaruKon~

Nevermind
My mind is changed

nagatoro enjoyer

I mean
It doesn’t look bad ig?
It’s just
Dull

MaruMaruKon~

I expect flowing lines inspired by the rivers that flows down the Belgium countrysides and the ridge line of the snow mountains and the smooth flowing racing line of spa-francorchamps
This has none of them

Dropping_Suisei

Yeah and yet you still want these coupe SUVs smh smh

MaruMaruKon~

SpaceBoy2020

Shut the up
Well uh
What does C&L say this time

nagatoro enjoyer

It has a twin turbo V6 and it has like 400hp
But then they also say that the engine is laggy to the point where it makes the car quite difficult to drive when you push it
Which was made worse by narrow tires having to take all this power
And the overall tuning is just isn’t great, certainly not capable of handling such power

MaruMaruKon~

Yeah
That’s a nah

SpaceBoy2020

Btw I digged around on their website
And I kid you not
That engine is called
P6BDVL330VBTTD
I know, rolls off the tongue

nagatoro enjoyer

Oh yeah
EFI made a coupe SUV too

EFI Senzawa

@Lazar

Detailed

What can I even say about this

The looks are one of the best on the field, no question. However, the engineering are basically placeholders, and stat wise it sits at the very bottom of all entries. Absolute shame.

SpaceBoy2020

ayo

MaruMaruKon~

Why are all the pics taken from the same angle and have the same location of text, same font, and this weird mention on it?

nagatoro enjoyer

i work at C&L where else do you think i get these images

MaruMaruKon~

oh

SpaceBoy2020

oh

MaruMaruKon~

Anyway so what’s this shiela like?

Dropping_Suisei

Please never say that sentence ever again Marko you’re a married man and as an Australian i will literally die from unbearable amounts of cringe

nagatoro enjoyer

So a couple of other reviewers managed to get their hands on it, they thought they got a pre-production model or something cause holy shit apparently the Germans can’t make a reliable car even as it barely leaves the factory, everything about it is unrefined perverted german science so i won’t recommend

MaruMaruKon~

Oh
I’ll take your word for it, we’re skipping this one i guess
nextus amogus

nagatoro enjoyer

FM Chelsea

@Jaimz68

Detailed

Even with the cheapest price, having one of the lowest comfort, safety and prestige, the FM Chelsea underperforms. Its looks aren’t exactly the saving grace either. It doesn’t quite have the coupe SUV roofline, which would be fine if the design is stylish and unique, which it doesn’t quite achieve. It looks quite dated and not much thought is being put into the placement of fixtures. Overall not too strong of a showing.

So the next one in line is this thing
It’s the cheapest of the bunch ig

Dropping_Suisei

I don’t think a certified sendo ownerℱ would give a shit about the price when it comes to cars

SpaceBoy2020

Fr tho
I genuinely thought you were going to consider something at least 100k for the family car

MaruMaruKon~

Well uhh
You see
I actually need to save up money for family and stuff
Instead of blowing all of it on cars

Dropping_Suisei

you mean spending them to make emilia happy
o7

SpaceBoy2020

o7

nagatoro enjoyer

not relatable but o7

MaruMaruKon~

shut
uhhh
I don’t like how it looks
but what do the reviews say

nagatoro enjoyer

well
good handling
but not very comfy
and safety lower than competitors

SpaceBoy2020

not to mention only 250hp from a turbo 3 liter

MaruMaruKon~

I’ll pass on this one then i guess

nagatoro enjoyer

 next  meme

Blixt N5 Sportkupé

@theview

is it just me or this thing reminds me of another car

SpaceBoy2020

I dunno
modern cars are samey anyways

Dropping_Suisei

I think the shapings are quite simple and doesn’t really have much uniqueness
but tbf
it works alright
and many cars we’ve seen so far do not work at all

SpaceBoy2020

that’s true

MaruMaruKon~

I’m somewhat alright with being a bit generic
do the specs make up for it

nagatoro enjoyer

hmm
it’s not as smooth or as refined to drive as its competitors
the handling tune is alright
and comfort is average

MaruMaruKon~

hmm
I’ll consider it ig

Henhao Mierda XL

@Edsel

Detailed

Here’s a list of everything that are quite questionable:

  • 5 speed auto in 2020
  • 215 wide tires on a car with a 6L V8 making 400hp
  • 60 degree V8
  • Super undersquare engine with race car like engine internal options, just to make the redline reasonable
  • Cast iron block and cast iron heads
  • Uses traction control only instead of having ESC, this is 2020 remember
  • And lowest sport of every car here by a good margin

so the next car in line in line is this thing
according to my notes

MaruMaruKon~

are you sure this is a new car lmao

nagatoro enjoyer

yeah
I thought this is some 2000’s coupe SUV concept preview thing
until I saw that it’s actually 2020 model year

Dropping_Suisei

I don’t see much 2000’s concept from this tbh
they’re much more quirky than this
in fact I would call this quite bland
even by production car standards

SpaceBoy2020

why is the rear so squished
and it has more plastic than all of the previous cars combined

nagatoro enjoyer

actually the more I look at this the more I’m convinced that it’s from 2000’s
it has a 5 speed auto lmao

SpaceBoy2020

iirc it also has a 6 liter?
and it’s a 60 degree V8?

nagatoro enjoyer

yeah
this thing’s weird
Apparently it scores the lowest in C&L’s handling test too

MaruMaruKon~

Yeah let’s just go to the next one

nagatoro enjoyer

EcaMobile Chipleader

@Mikonp7

yeah ik this looks like a sedan
but apparently the interior space is alright
it doesn’t have the headroom of a tall SUV but it’s much better than a sedan
since they raised the cabin height

SpaceBoy2020

I read that it’s actually better than many other crossovers offroad too

Dropping_Suisei

better than pretend crossovers offroad isn’t saying a lot
FWD unibody and no locker

real offroaders look like this

SpaceBoy2020

ah shit, here we go again

nagatoro enjoyer

yeah but I’m pretty sure marko wants something that rides better than a flatbed truck and does more than 2 mpg

MaruMaruKon~

hmmm
the body shape is bit odd
the front grill looks a bit tacked on
I dunno
seeing some of the previous cars this is actually alright aesthetic wise I guess

nagatoro enjoyer

yea
also this is almost 60k
and doesn’t drive or handle at the same level as its competitors
but it is said to have one of the best comfort in the field

MaruMaruKon~

yeah I’m not sure about this
I’ll not rule it out I guess

nagatoro enjoyer

aight aight
lemme find the next one
hold on
who put this in here

Akerstrom Nebula Sport Roof

@HybridTronny @EnCR

Detailed
You see, we were thinking of letting this through, because it’s actually nicely designed, and some of the key stats actually aren’t bad. But if you enter a photoscene, and park this next to basically any other car of this round, you will notice that the back row has about half the space, and the cabin is obviously much shorter too. Not very desirable for someone who’s raising a family, and not even the very high sport would save this car from entering the bin.

MaruMaruKon~

What is this lmaoooooooo

SpaceBoy2020

well
technically it’s a coupe SUV
just a rather small one

nagatoro enjoyer

what
who is this even for

SpaceBoy2020

no clue
tbf
it looks kinda cool ngl

nagatoro enjoyer

I mean
the facia and stuff is designed pretty well
it even has the flowing DRL thing
but like
it’s still a jacked supercar

MaruMaruKon~

See
Now I’m actually curious
How’s the interior space of this thing

nagatoro enjoyer

I would guess not very good lmao
yeah
I see it now
yeah of course it gets last place for interior and storage space in crossover category
who would’ve thought that
yeah here it says that it’s only a bit better than the back row of many coupes

MaruMaruKon~

Yeah nah
Well, there we go I guess

Yup. Glued-aluminum chassis was a mistake.

This is a really cool way to do writeups though, I love it! :D
