The ‘Webers’ used on the V8’s when using quad carbs are not DCOEs (Side Draft) but rather IDA or IDFs (Down Draft)
Small nitpick.

We are well aware of that flaw but decided to ignore it for simplicity’s sake.
This has always bothered me when building a V8 with downdraft carbs, too. Even in the sidedraft configuration, it’s slightly annoying when I’m building a recreation of something equipped with Solex or Mikuni carburetors.
It’s also a possible confusion issue for new players, since unlike OHV, VVT, VVL, etc. the alphabet-soup doesn’t even stand for anything, it’s just a model code. Just from the approachability standpoint, I would suggest Automation use something like “High Flow 2 Barrel,” “Performance 2 Barrel,” or if you really want the Weber reference in there, “DC-series 2 Barrel.” (Most carbureted Ferrari engines, including the 308’s V8, used DC(N)F downdraft Webers from the factory.)
Good point, a namechange might be the best way to go about it! Cheers!
