Dimension Motors - Back in Business!

##1992 Dimension Rift SL (GCP92)

The 90s were an interesting time for Dimension. The Japanese bubble economy and Gulf War military contracts, and new cheap suppliers from the former Iron Curtain gave the company a ridiculously large amount of cash flow for R&D purposes. Might not look like it, but this car has most of our experimental tech implemented in it. Yup, even the most miserable, dinky little commuter gets aluminum bodywork and a 20 valve motor.

1995 Dimension Rift SSP Turbo-4 (GCP94)

Built for Group A rallying, Dimension inadvertently opened up the performance sport compact market in the US, being the first of it’s kind to hit the American market. Fitted with all wheel drive, the sheer compactness of the body made a full double wishbone set up impossible thus the car wasn’t as good handling as it’s successors.

##1993 Dimension SuperNova (ZCW20)

It costs virtually nothing to strap a turbo on and make adjustments to the engine and suspension so why the hell not? Infamous for being able to outrun the premier MR sports cars of the time such as the Auxuras CZ6, Storm Gunslinger and our Candian friends’ Comet, the SuperNova remains popular to this day as salvage builds retrieved from the bottom of cliff sides.

##Dimension To Rush SSP Rift Production to 2017

The latest generation of Dimension’s long running performance compact Rift SSP series was initially set for a 2018 release, after an outcry of enthusiasts bemoaning the lack of a proper cheap sports compact in recent years, and the Saminda corporation’s announcement of the C2000R hatchback.

Now that Saminda has announced the C2000R is not going to be offered in the US market, Dimension management opted to rush the car for release in July 2017, with the first examples being delivered as early as August.

“It is very common for companies to buy into the lie that American car culture is dead. That all Americans will only buy crossovers or SUVs. In all our years selling cars we can assure you, enthusiast culture in the USA will never die. Every week you can find some sort of car meet in any town. Every weekend thousands of Americans hit our many race courses for track days. And 10 years down the line, the cars will still be remembered. Owners will always keep them running, while the average SUV or commuter gets sent to some shady charity or scrapped. And we’ll be more than happy to keep em going”

In addition, Dimension has slashed prices down to $30,000 from an MSRP of $38,000 for the first 500 orders of the SSP Rift Launch Edition. The Launch Edition comes standard with a unique Agent Orange paintjob and Launch Edition badging.

Here are 2 differences between Saminda and Dimension

Saminda is conservative and afraid to try new things while Dimension is opposite.

It’s why they are the one of the biggest automotive companies in the world and the US government is our largest shareholder

Am I meant by this?

If so why is my full-size sedan a competitor to the SuperNova???
And why is Dimension such a Weeaboo company?

Well yes but not the Comet lol. Youre little sports car thing.

It was 3 in the morning when I wrote the initial draft

Well Ford is a big anglophile company and theyre doing alright.

##2018 Dimension Hypero AGTR SEMA Concept

A little concept shown at SEMA to generate interest for the Hypero launched earlier in 2018. Fitted with GT Aeropak from the SSP parts catalogue and a whole other bunch of extras, it was certainly an eye catcher. The Whitestorm pearl with black and red accents helped too. With just a cam tune and not for public sale semi slicks, Dimension claims it could lap MRLS just as fast as the Nine-50 hypercar.

More insanity from Dimension Motors… I love it! Its livery makes it look like a proper GT3 racer even though it isn’t one, and reminds me of the alternate color scheme used by Ravenwest Motorsport in GRID: Autosport (black and red on a white background instead of a gray one).

##2003 Dimension Hadron GT 2.6 (BTL82)

A smart sporty mid size sedan, one that stubbornly stayed rear wheel drive when it’s competitors have moved to the FWD platform. Shares lots of components with the Warp coupe. Hailed as one of the best handling sedans to come out of America.

##2004 Dimension Hadron GT 3.0 Spec R

A performance variant with pretty much all the good bits from the Warp SSP4R such as the 3.1 liter Inline 6 turbo and all wheel drive. Built only in RHD and exported to countries with a displacement tax, this car was the forbidden fruit for American and Canadian enthusiasts, who proceeded to swap bits in anyway.

That’s a diverse range - with three powertrain choices there should be a Hadron for everyone. Offering two straight sixes (one turbo, one atmo) and one V8 on a rear-drive car like this reminds me a lot of the Ford BA/BF Falcon from the same era.

Oh I am so stealing this quote…DSD Popular but boganish

man this brand might be a BIG one

##2016 Dimension Tau 31GT (BTR72)

In 2015 during the development of the new Hadron, engineers found the new and improved B chassis to deliver exceptional handling and thus a perfect sports car platform. Management approved for a budget FR sports car as long as it shared alot of components with the Hadron. Project philosophy is as follows: Look like 200, drive like 100, go like 50, sell for 30, build for 10. And with the 30K performance war incoming with the likes of the C2000R and Luna Sportivo, what better way to crash to party than a proper sports car? Complementing the SSP Rift in our budget performance segment. A car that cares for lap times as much as the world cares for the 2nd Paul Blart movie, which is to say, not very much.
