Dimension Motors - Back in Business!

Hm? Something like VAG’s MQB and MLB?

Nah it’s more of Nissan’s and Toyota’s I think. Three letters followed by 2 numbers.

Well my engine codes are all based off Nissan’s naming scheme so yeah.

You select that area very carefully before cutting the wheels

Photoshop practice #2

Wheels are still so goofy though…

Here’s my take on it.

What I changed:

  • The car doesn’t fit into the picture. It looks like you slapped it onto there, and thus it’s too bright. I unsaturated and darkened the car as well as removing contrast a result.
  • I changed the wheels, as like you said they look odd.
  • I “contoured” the car by adding multiple shades on top of the car and then setting it as a “soft light” layer so that it can cast a “light” onto the car.
  • I improved the shadow by extending it under the front wheel.
  • I made the road wider for some reason. I actually have no idea why.

What I would change:

  • The car has way too much perspective and the wheels are too big, even on my version.

The perspective (I think) also causes the car too look very flat - as if it was not a 3D object but rather a car-shaped billboard (or sth like that) standing on the edge of the road.

PS Practice #3… I think I’m getting better.

The messy cloning ughh… Is there a trick to it, or is it just being careful?

careful is the key. Also you should pay more attention to wheel arch area when cutting it.

Dimension Nova S Limited (ZCW20)

The early 90s saw a bunch of new names enter the budget MR segment, with models such as the Storm Gunslinger and the KHT Tsukuba eating into our market share. I think the front resembles the Fiat Coupe.

Correct me if I’m wrong @squidhead but making clean curves of smooth selection areas is easier with the pen tool, which is doable even on a trackpad @Deskyx

It is. But many people are confused by the pen tool.

##2002 Dimension Warp SSP4R R-Spec II Suzuka (BNR34)

The most Japanese-American thing before RWBY came along gets a final commemorative edition before going to end production in 2004. In true Japanese fashion, it has an overly long name, overly engineered I6 block, and it will happily shred any muscle car it comes across. The Suzuka edition comes with special carbon trim, a downforce undertray and ultra high performance track tires.

So did Dimension rate their cars 280bhp but in a dyno run it shows 400bhp ?

anyway that car is sick , can imagining stancing it

Post number #167 has one I messily shopped CE28Ns on. With some camber for good measure.

You could always advertise it as power to the wheels not power at the engine…

I’d still make waaay more than 276 assuming a 20% driveline loss.

20% way too low consider a loss of 30% Minimum to be closer to reality. which still leaves it way to low, bugga

I really like the fart cannon on that car but
