Dimension Motors - Back in Business!

I did… on a racetrack… do not remind me of Hypera’s existence :frowning: It disturbs me more than Dimension motors does.

Also “road legal” is a very stretchable term in automation. We need some kind of a legality rule for this on the forums IMO

2018 Dimension SuperNova

The SuperNova returns as the ultimate budget exotic capable of humiliating actual exotics anywhere except in a straight line. Not much has changed from the last car mechanically, but cheaper suppliers have allowed us to slash the price down to just 50,000 and still make plenty of profit!

Dimension has announced a partnership with Polyphony Digital, GT Sport players can enter a competition and win a 2018 SuperNova! We believe that by doing this we can help reinvigorate young people’s interest in owning performance cars despite complaints that they’ve gone too expensive. How much cheaper can you get than free*?

*many many terms and conditions apply.

Not bad, not bad. Half the price of the exige. On the other hand, i’ve been down that road, and you can drop another 15 grand off the thing if you start the budget saving, while retaining quite a bit of speed

Yeah carbon panels are suuuper pricey.

It is supposed to be an entry level faux supercar tho, so I still left in a full interior and safety. Bespoke motor and my love for massive mark ups on everything will prevent me from dropping the price further.

It is of course no match for the Mistral, but I think it carves its own niche in the 50K bracket.

Most of mine are 100%. You’re too easy on the buyer mate

Well yeah but you’re KHT and I’m the guy who makes the stuff you get when as a loaner when the KHT is in the shop

Damn Gasmeans are too cheap…

I try to branch out, but yeah. Also I do not think the Mistral is a fair competitor, it’s overengineered and overpriced compared to Supernova. The base model is twice the price. So yeah, I do not think KHT has a competitor for the Supernova, since Augusta is a basic track toy, and everything else costs an arm and a leg.

##1985 Dimension Voyager A/T

Our FWD 70 compacts have been largely derided by the motoring press, so the 80s Voyager returned to an RWD platform. A lot of experimental tech went into this car, such as use of double wishbones in a low cost machine and the first all aluminum 4 valve DOHC 4 cylinder by Dimension. Built to face off against the Airborne Persephone in the compact market.

Mmmmm mmm! Mid-eighties twin cam engines :ok_hand:

Wow the Entropy Shinigami looks really awesome!

More where that came from

1985 Dimension Nova GS

An attempt at popularizing the MR layout for cheap sports car, the first gen Nova shared many internals with cars like the Voyager. Fortunately, that included the popular LA20 twin cam 16v engine, which won the hearts of enthusiasts world wide. Until snap oversteer kills them.

1986 Dimension SuperNova

The affordable sports car gets an unaffordable and homicidal variant. If you could handle it though, it could really take the fight to the big boys. Could even give a KHT Tsukuba some trouble.

Aha! A rival to the Erin Nasaro I see…

If that even bothered to exist in 1986
KHT came to the party late, after seeing that the product is viable. The marketing department did not advise on taking a risk and starting the lightweight MR trend themselves, as it could be a bust and a huge hole in the budget.

In any case, I like the looks of the thing and it’s also quite a bit cheaper than the tsukuba, which is a great result, seeing how KHT tried to make a budget car. Unless ofcourse you did not include the profit margin into this.

Well I adjusted the prices for inflation. In 2016 money, the GS would’ve been 14K, while the SuperNova is 22K including profit margins.

Still cheaper than KHT, so it’s a win for you in my opinion.

Played with photoshop abit.

That rear wheel is bugging me. Do you think I should’ve just cloned the front wheel instead?

No, never. The perspective will be way too screwed up to fix it.
Also you should just take more care when masking the territory you’re painting over, not to destroy the edges. The rear arch is looking mangled because of that

How do I do that specifically? Like clear the wheel arches cleanly? I definitely messed them up when removing the wheels.

Also cut me some slack  This is my very first shop ever and I’m doing it on a track pad…

Do you have any good suggestions to help blend the car to the surroundings?

##Chassis Codes Announced and Explained.

Abit of news, I’m planning to introduce chassis codes to my cars with the following naming schemes. Often they’ll contain references to their IRL counterparts.

For example the code for the 2018 Rift SSP is:

GRB94

The first character is represents the drivetrain and chassis type:
G - Compact Transverse
B - Midsize Longitudinal
Z - Mid engine
C - Coupe Longtidunal

The second character represents the floorpan used. If two cars with the same first letter have the same second letter, it means they share a floorpan.

Third character are just generational variants.

Numbers in the end are just model codes. Higher end variants with different engines have a higher number, and all wheel drive models always have 4 as the final digit.
