Just to fuck everybody’s day up.
My rules is…
NO VVL

Also, again @JohnWaldock, in order to avoid confusion between the two non S.I. units of measurements please specify if the limits is in US or UK gallons. Fortunately the miles measures the same 1609.34 m for both the queen and uncle sam.

Also track? 1/8, 1/4, 1/2?

We’re talking about badass pickup trucks here. Do you think it’s MPG-US or UK?

Last time I had that dilemma John had his game set up on UK MPG.

Okay, well here’s the fuel economy requirement I intended:
15 MPG-US, 18 MPG-UK, 15.7 L/100KM, 6.4 KM/L

and i still do, cuz reasons.

We still need to know length of the track.

Damn you utility limit, now RR polonez is out :pensive:

i think we need to go classic truck length

also IF, those were my rules I would have made things a bit harder and more realistic with:

Radu’s what if rule no.1: no semi slick / sport compound
Radu’s what if rule no.2: peak torque and 2900 rpm or lower because pulling power

The utility requirement of 70 should cover that, hopefully

IF it wee me, rule 1 would be more realistic-er-er

Since utility is measured at stable version, I need to use the stable version to make the truck? Or is there a number for beta?

Overhead-valve engines aren’t compatible with VVL anyway. I’d therefore use a MOHV V8 if I were to enter this challenge. In fact it would not take much work to make such an engine efficient enough for this round.

I don’t see any rule saying that OHV are mandatory…

No one ever answered what track this round will be on. @phale?

Standard quarter mile, I’d say.
