Hey Everyone, not sure if this has been posted already, but I was doing the scenario where you have to design an engine with a dimension no larger than 350x300x350 (i tihnk thats the measurement). However there is no easy way (unless I havent spotted it) to find the engine size until you test it on the Dyno. Was wondering if this should maybe be implemented as in real life you wouldn’t have to put an engine on a dyno to get the physical dimensions?
Yep, we’re already playing with a feature that lets you design an engine for a paticular engine bay, and gives you a green/red box to build it within so you can see what parts are too big.
Now it just needs an option to design an engine bay for a particular engine. And maybe an inbetween yellow box if engine fits but barely (so it’s hard to do anything on it and service costs increase)
The yellow box idea I like we wanted to tie in service costs into how full the engine bay is anyway. Just need to find a way it doesn’t get confusing. An I6 in a cubic engine bay will definitely have a very poor fill factor (i.e. good for servicing), even though it almost touches the limits.
