Family Haulers [1980] [REVIEW POSTED]
12 accepted entries, 4 pending revision. That means 8 slots left (maybe more, if some of those revisions fail)

I’d like to note that I have received a number of entries that give a LUA error relating to headlights. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re using illegal headlights (unless you are), but rather it’s a generic LUA error that is received when either the model LUAs are corrupt, or the original installation of Automation is corrupt. If you get a PM from me that you’re getting that error, be prepared to reinstall automation, and recreate your car from scratch. It doesn’t seem to have any bearing on the engine files, so when you rebuild your car you can save time by putting your existing engine into it if you like.
If you’re running the Steam version I would suggest doing a file verification first before a re-install, if you’re on the standalone I personally suggest moving to Steam since it is faster on the updates and fixes corrupted files much easier otherwise a full uninstall then re-install is your only choice on the standalone.

Thanks for the tip, sir
My car is one of the 4 that wasn’t loading, so I decided to validate the files, turns out that there were 99 corrupted game files.

Fuentes motors will enter with the 1980 Progression sw.

Wow, these entries came fast and thick, didn’t they?

Well, here’s something that’s neither: the 1980 Packbat Auto Works Pteropus RC*.

 • Relatively Cheap

Unlike the '78 Murina XC, the Pteropus actually came standard with pretty decent fittings, including quite sophisticated safety features for the time. The engine on the base model, however, was a variation on the same 1.6L SOHC inline-4 that so inadequately powered the Murina - meaning you’ll be quite grateful for the 8-track player while you wait for the car to creak its way up from 0 to 62 mph.

DMA Introduces the F-80 compact family car.

True to DMA tradition the engine is excessively built, though the engineers don’t seem to be able to design a pretty car.

19 accepted, 1 awaiting revision, 4 more spots left (unless some of those revisions fail, of course).

Space is filling up quickly. I’m guessing this contest will end early, so don’t delay if you want to participate!

Uh oh Absurdist… we have the same body… and the same tires.

Though I would say suicide doors on a family car is a bold thing to do.

I spot some grill waork in the lower side of the rear door… is there a reason for it?

Oh dear! I didn’t see that.

I would use the word “inspired”.

As for the vents, I… … errr, ah! It has a sophisticated rear->front air cooling system in order to provide sufficient cooling for the mighty turbo.

… I don’t even know what I’m talking about anymore.

I’ll laugh if we take 1st and second with that configuration.

You could bill the doors as something fun for the kids to use… the vents are to limit how hard the door throws them out… has an adjustment inside the door.

Haha didn’t think of that. Ace

On your car, how excessive is excessively built exactly? I am curious.

Introducing the first ever comfortable offroader on the market. The Znopresk Zanzibar 2.7 Sala.

It’s a gamble… it will payback?

Ooh, that is a nice looking off-roader, NormanVauxhall.

May I say I’m shocked that Znopresk is not submitting a Lincoln-sized body with a 1300cc engine…

Including pending revisions and verifications, we’re at 24 entries. At this point any more entries submitted will be held in reserve only in case one of the 5 pendings drops out or is disqualified for some reason.

(the 4 I just received will be checked tonight after I get home from work, and hopefully by then Baltazar will have figured out their LUA… I mean tooling… issues)

something funy happens with my car, when you open it it says the car will cost 7040, but if you click the test button again it will go down to 6994 I think.

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same thing happening. Must be a bug…
Will show my car here as soon as Vic has checked and approved it.
