Formula Automation - 1990 Formula One Season

Here’s a little hint of what Soltra Motorsports are bringing to the table.

Desert Mountains Automotive presents the SC90-X as its entry into the screaming death machine portion of this competition, and yes its >1000 hp.

Shooting for low earth orbit during the pikes peak portion.

Looks like I have plenty of entries to look over tomorrow. Probably will be what I spend my evening doing.
I’d try to do it tonight, but I just don’t have the time. Sorry.

No problem! It looks like you’ve hit a winner with this competition!

^Agreed! This is what I spent all of that time making the F1 tracks for. Finally someone uses some of them.

Lightstar Industries would like to enter the 1990 Polaris X90;

REI Autosport’s CRQ0, referred to in-house as “ProjectRAI”. A concept car based on a prototype chassis.

According to the project manager, engine output is completely coincidental.

Yes, the car is equipped with a FIA Rain Light. I am aware that these did not exist in 1990. They just look cool.

@Sayonara: That is one awesome-looking automobile. I can’t quite tell what that is in front of the windshield connecting the wheel arches, but it’s rad whatever it is.

How about now?

…some kind of wing, then? It’s the break in the middle that’s throwing me - it looks like two fixtures side-by-side, not a single center-mounted fixture.

i’m lapping the airfield in 1:12:24, how fast are you?

"pretend we are in pre season trains at spain and times are public, could we do that?

of course i had to do a “espace F1” hahhaha

The list has been updated and I’ve seen some times that’ll make your pants fall off. I won’t specify if it’s because of how slow or fast they are though.

Feel free to keep submitting, after all, the more the merrier!

Nobody wants to know my stripped down street production car did the airfield in 1:01.01.

I was extremely surprised at how quick yours actually was around the airfield track, considering the 600 area horsepower you’ve been going on about. Heck, I could see you ending up highly placed at Green Hell. However, knowing Strop, if he finally decides to show up, he’ll probably take Green Hell with no mercy, especially considering that’s his territory in Automation.

Just don’t let them know the time was 1:01.01!

Two things, your image ain’t loading properly, unless that’s your “car” in which I don’t know how you could race without seats and a steering wheel. For that matter, there ain’t really a body. Two, I need your file still, already sent you a PM about that.

Also, I really regret setting that Race the Stig challenge as the final week cause I can’t bust 1:19 for my laptimes, and well, that’s easy to beat for many people. Deary me.

Lastly, you told them Cobalt, not I. :stuck_out_tongue:

On a more serious note, Neon, you can reduce the visibility slider on the far right to show the various levels and cutaways of cars… unless you knew that already and you were just being facetious! (That’s how cobaltgirl gets her cutaway views, by overlaying one image over the other and then erasing part of the external view).

And yes, I’ll get my files in eventually. I’ve just been excessively busy lately. I honestly don’t know if my car will be quickest around all, some or even any of the tracks. And I’m pretty sure there will be at least 2-3 users with a higher power output, because I have certain habits that tend to limit my outputs, namely, not using cast-iron blocks and emphasising performance index over max output.
