@Tycondero: I like the styling on your Astana Defiant - the headlights especially are a very interesting design.
Thank you! Always try to make the cars I send in look nice, at least I consider this one nice. All these things are subjective of course. For all I know others might prefer brick styled cars

Meh. I think most of the other cars I’ve seen are much nicer. Dunno about performance, but given mine is an OHV N/A ( ), I doubt they will have a problem whooping my tail on a track.
I’m not a fan of the color, but I’ve always really liked that body, and the way you set up the fittings on it looks very good.
Also, true fact: the total production costs of your car are over $1000 less than of the Murina RE - which also has over $2300/yr service costs and barely exceeds 20 mpg. I don’t know how much cost-of-ownership weighs in, but I’m betting I’m way behind on that measure.
I generally enjoy every other creation and for me, they also exceed what I have been able to create.
As for the challenge and the weighting of the costs, as I interprete a homologation car, it is for enthusiasts and not the every day driver. Therefore, running costs and service costs can be and are higher than usually.
During my research for this competition, I found a 1984 Audi Quattro Homologation car, with a 2.1 litre Turbo producing 300 hp and 15 mpg in town… you can imagine the rest

I can neither confirm nor deny your suspicions. This was leaked to the press the day after the announcement, however:
Well, for sure, I can tell you now that this XR-28 is somewhat cheaper, more comfortable, and more reliable than the Feltram Evo RC. But the Evo RC appears to be still cheaper than the Murina RE…
Wow - 49.3F/50.7R weight distribution? I’ve never pulled that off on any of my front-engine vehicles. That’s not far from ideal for a rear-wheel-drive car.
Looking over the stats in the .lua file, assuming I’m reading them correctly, I’m faster in a straight line (6.9 s to 100 kph, 3.8 s from 80 to 120, 220+ top speed), but with Hard Compound Road tyres I don’t have a chance in the corners. Braking distance is 39.3 m and cornering is 1.06 g and 1.04 g at small and large radius, respectively. I’m ahead in the five main stats, though: 42.9 Driveability, 26.3 Sportiness, 35.7 Comfort, 26.0 Prestige, and 49.0 Safety.
On that note this challenge has actually been rather good for getting cars with quite even weight distribution. Just about optimised, my car has a 50.0/50.0 weight distribution. That said, I suspect my car will probably leave most of the other entries behind in the speed stakes (6.1s to 100kph, 2.8s from 80-120, 240 top speed), cornering Gs of 1.31 and 1.33 respectively, and 100-0 braking of 34.9 That’s sports road tyres for you!
Where does it fall? Comfort and prestige. I suspect those values are at least 30% behind the rest. As an interesting side note, the EVO RC may seat 5, but it only has a single straight through muffler for an engine loudness of 62, making it the equivalent of chucking your family into a late 90s Impreza WRX STi with a fart cannon installed. But double baffling the car instead for a loudness rating of a much more acceptable 40 only gave me 2 extra comfort points. Forget it!
I wonder if cabin noise gives a bigger comfort penalty if you have a good sound system installed.

If my car wasn’t so damn expensive i would say i had this so far with what I’m seeing lol.
Getting edgy myself, I have the results done, but I dont want to go writing anything till we are full.
I already sent a fix, though…
