* …why is it SOMWOM instead of SOMWOS? “Sunday” starts with an “S”, not an “M”.
Because Leo was drunk. (His words, not mine)
Hey! I wasn’t drunk when I said that, probably I was feeling like I was drunk (sleep deprivation does that to me). But yes, it makes no sense at all, I probably started calling it somwom because the original phrase is Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday (WOSSOM, for short), so my sleep deprived head might have failed and the new abbreviation caught on. By the way, the inversion in the name is the reflect the fact that in this challenge you first needed to make sure that the car was good enough to sell well, which in turn would free up the budget for racing.
It did not occur to me that setting my competition one year after SOMWOM* would mean that people would recycle their vehicles from there, but I approve of this trend.

Furthermore, I know you worded the competition this way, but shouldn’t it have been “Win On Sunday, Sell On Monday”?
Well since Hoons love a fast and loud car and since we were scored on burnout ability and quarter-mile speeds perhaps those can be included (wheel spin and quarter-mile speed), if they aren’t already? Maybe even which car was the loudest? As prime primal hoon stats as I’d be curious about how the cars stack up in this regards. Of course I wouldn’t want to put too much information for those of us who don’t make the top 3 so that you have something to talk about with those. So that’d be my suggestion assuming they aren’t already going to be included because if they are then I look like a complete dunce
Also, while tardy to the party, I too wondered about that “SOMWOM” thing. I just assumed the cars were so fast that they were sold in the morning and raced in the evening, but then I would’ve go with something like “Sell at Sunrise, Win at Sunset” (SASWAS) or maybe “Sell at Midday, Win at Midnight” (SAMWAM)…yeah SAMWAM I like that
…and that format gets pretty cumbersome as you add more information.
That said, I can certainly make a separate list of who had the most and who had the least of any of the stats I recorded - wheelspin, quarter-mile speed, Prestige, Sportiness, Drivability, Cargo Volume, Comfort, and Reliability. And if people would like me to (and I’m going to give everyone veto rights on this, because it’s not something I suggested I would do initially), I can past the calculation spreadsheet as an attachment at the end so people can see all the stats for all the cars.
Ah I see! I like the arrangement you have there actually and I agree more info and it would become cumbersome. I would stick with what you planned.
I just wanted to pass the response along with the hope others might chime in their own thoughts on the matter because it seemed the question was likely to be buried. I didn’t necessarily mean to create more work (as unavoidable as that would be now thinking about it). I’d be interested in whatever you do (I like numbers and comparisons) and I’d be fine with the calc. sheet being released (though I get why others might not). Like I said though, I like what you had planned and I’d say only do the other stuff if others show interest. If by the end of the comp. its just me then don’t worry about it.
@Sebesseg: Understood! I’m trying to be conscious of how much work I make for myself - mostly I want to make sure I don’t overlook any really good ideas.
…and there it is. Thank you for all who participated!
(I wish I could extend the deadline farther, but I don’t want to run into delays because American Thanksgiving.)
As promised, I’ll allow everyone 24 hours to make revisions (although I don’t expect any); after that, I’ll post the 11th-to-4th place results. Reviews will come early next week.
