I can say that I already lose, since @Darkshine5 's car was used as a base for Speed Racer movie cars, it even handle like them.
12h left. So far 8 cars accepted.
i am going to send you my car now
That’s it. When I can (today possibly) I’ll review some late bloomers and than we are good to go
Results tomorrow if there is no new problem with cars.
EDIT: Times ready, blurbs+pictures ready…now we wait for final revision, whose pipes were looking out of the grill…
Ha ha
Chevy vs Ford => Round 4 of HLC
@nialloftara Centauri Bandlands
Chevy V6
At 571HP possibly next generation hyper hatch. It’s revving up to 10k at a price of 9.5 reliability socre. Ka BOOOM. Power is send via 7 speed DCT to eLSD. It has extremely hard suspension and some funny quirks like wider front tyres and huge 420mm rear drums.
@HighOctaneLove Bogliq Fox 230R
Ford turbo 4
Wierd yet blue looking car, especially those extremely low profile steel wheels are odd. Engine is on the other hand totally un abused and nicely tuned with 343hp and nice power band. Power is send via the best shifting manual in the world to geared lsd and only sport tyres. Oh and it does not have any suspension but a couple of active rocks.
@07CobaltGirl RS Coupe
Chevy V6
Personally one of the most good looking cars this round. Pure muscle from every angle. Very
@lordvader1 Stingerz
Ford turbo 4
This cars means business. Vents on the arches to reduce pressure build, carbon brakes and 600HP turbooooo… There is a very fast shifting 7 speed DCT and strongly rear biased e-awd. Stingerz looks are slightly deceiving because even there is grill on the back of not911 body, ecoboost is under front hood.
@CMT Trial Mountin HLC
Ford turbo 4
Well this is…hmm… a very average car. It looks…well ok. Engine has massive lag producing 1.5bar but managing just 350HP. This is not such a problem since it has closely geared 7 speed DCT which keeps car always on optimal power. Trial is also very quiet, gently set up and quite efficient … but I’m not sure that count when it comes to hot laps.
@one85db OMG XG3
Chevy V6
Oh my god. I can end this blurb right here. This car is a lesson how to nail the rules so hard, it doesn’t even make sense. If you are after something remotely similar to real world, look away. However if you are in it to win it, take notes. 395 rubber, tiny body, crap interior and no cooling what so ever. I wonder, can it even do a full GH lap? Well it seems like yes but at the end engine block was just a blob of molten lava.
@DarkShine5 DSD Saragota
Ford turbo 4
Masterpiece. DSD is aiming high and it shows. I have spent quit some time just looking at all the details it can offer…well and trying to fix broken aero bits that seems to have takem some damage when shipping from upsidedown part of the world. Apart from that, 584hp tubo 4 is revving to 10k and has no problem with moving around stripped interiour and carbon wheels. Hot stuff.
@Nomade0013 GAMMA Tinab
Ford turbo 4
If I would want to describe Tinab in a single phrase, it would be: not 230i’s fat cousin. It’s another close to real world enty with decent seats, reliability, safety and mild camber. Has 400+hp, is massively over-braked and firmly damped. What is quite different to others is its only 277 km/h gear limited top speed and some lift at higher speeds.
@cyclopticgoat Cygi Isa
Chevy V6
Has your neigbour bought RS7? Do you the same…but different…but still the same? Well here you got Isa with 530hp V6 SCREAMING to 10500rpm. Because fu** tubro Audi that’s why. It is the most practical and surprisingly one of the most sporty competitors here. Unsurprisingly it’s also the heaviest. Weird quirks you ask? No power steering because weight saving is a thing in a 2 ton GT.
@MitshubishiFan VPower LCHW ACE
Ford turbo 4
When a car as big as Smart is using 37 L/100km (doing 6.5mpg) you know something is up. The best power to weight ratio, that’s what’s up. Turbo pumps impressive 618hp at 2.05 bar so LAG is the key world here. Negative effect of waiting for that truck turbine to spool in neglected by 7 speed DCT which helps to humiliate hypercars from 0-100km/h.
@AirJordan Smooth Racing Pace Chav Max (pace car)
Chevy V6
As I said, I’ll not be a part of competition, only provide a pace car. That is a car still well within the rules (apart from being road legal-which it does not need to be) but it will not take a win even if it will be the fastest.

forgot the proper line code
ANNNNNND here are (yes hidden because spoilers) results Congrats te everyone!
[spoiler]
EDIT: updated results due to bug fixes
Shit happens.
At least, my car runs like a swiss clockwork and is not only thriftiest but very comfortable. Now we can sell our Gran Turismo as “race proven”.
Congrats to the winner!
Very well done sir…very well done.
And some data towards the Saratoga’s history thank you for the hr’s and the effort.
edit: and this is why minimum cooling and reliabilty should always be in the rules. Still congrats to one85 and mitsufan for beating the toga in what are basically shopping trolleys lol
Oh yeah. Some of us were just not crazy enough.
That’s so it could use the “super-late-braking-technique”. But looks like wasn’t enough.
And the 277 km/h top speed is because during tests the car never hit the 280 km/h mark.
But what I most liked in this challenge is the difference at the cars. That’s sure a quite unique collection. I especially liked the Supra-rear-end-R34-front-end-in-a-Camaro-body RS Coupe, from @07CobaltGirl, and @Darkshine5’s DSD Saratoga (although I didn’t like the rear to much).
Congrats, @one85db, for the winning! It sure a hell of a car! It have even a evil smile!
Second place :’(
Now I got your attention, there are few thing we must address Please take a moment and go through these:
- @one85db winning time was made with sufficient cooling, his no cooling time is in table at 61. Congrats!
- In a place where it’s said that cars must be road legal, there will be a rule (@Darkshine5 that’s where you come in) that cars must have above 0 average reliability. I believe that’s ok to go below required cooling if you are building a time attack car and rules allow it but insufficient cooling makes no sense.
- No more pre-made parts. I had to import one car at the time (max 2 if I got the screenshot and they had different engines), delete it and than on to the next one. Champion can still specify the exact specs just everybody must build parts for themselves.
- Instead of me nagging DS5 every time to change some minor stuff in post 2 (post for the rules), there will be simply a link to the post where new rules will stand, which I can edit. Similar to CSR.
- If you do not provide a screenshot when submitting I do not care if your car is as it should be.
@one85db when you’r ready, PM me new rules
I believe the champion’s pick is mine this time so my champion’s pick would have to go to @Darkshine5’s Saratoga. Those headlights just remind me of a Dodge Dart so much.
Thanks, everyone!
wait…338hp? Something went terribly wrong then. If you look at my screenshot above, mine had 494hp. What happened?
Not sure. I did not pay attention to screens posted here, only ones that were send to me next to car zip. I’ll re-import your car and have a look.
EDIT: On second try I got 494 as well so now I updated the results. Thaks for heads up and sorry for the inconvenience.
No worries! Thanks for taking another look!
Oh nooo, not the last place again:(
