I believe this is due to banked corners. So its ok
I was about to edit my post to ask about banking and if it is only simulated in this game. In real life, banking transfers some of the lateral g-force into vertical g-force allowing the car to achieve a higher top speed in the corner. If the game does not do the same thing then it would show it as a lateral force instead.
OK, so I have fixed the Daytona track. I missed a camber setting for that segment between turns 3 and 4, causing the slowdown issue. Error is corrected, but Automation is being a jerk and not allowing me to upload it. It is saying the file cannot exceed 3072kb, but it is only 2030kb, exactly the same size as the file it is replacing, which also is now too big to uploadā¦
Below is the updated track, shared on my Google drive.

EDIT: Yes, the higher Gās being pulled in the corners on this track are due to the 31* banking on them, exactly how Daytona International Speedway is banked.
Since new servers Iām having this problem all the time.
Thanks for the quick response @07CobaltGirl, Itās running much smoother now.
They may still be working the bugs out of the new version of the forums which may be why you are getting the upload error.
I donāt really like this new slider feature for scrolling through the forums. it is much more difficult to find a particular post now; before you could type in the exact number of the post to go to it directly now you have to use a sensitive slider that gets really bad in threads with a large number of posts.
Click Reply, and the old finder pops up.
So it does, good to know, thanks! I still find it a bit of a pain compared to haveing it always on like it was before.
This is my very not-NASCAR-inspired entry, but I will excuse myself by saying that the most NASCAR I ever watched was Thunder Days and a race that was on the TVs of a Hooters restaurant in Budapest.
Apulum Domina DSP:
Interestingly, the 634hp Apulum Velox from HLC1 is 0.04s faster on Daytona flying than the my HLC3 Apulum Domina.
OK, so new update on Daytona. Apparently, it did not save all of my changes last night, so today I went to work on my car and it did it on the first lap still, with the slowdown. Retested this morning, reuploaded, and updated the thread for the track with a new version (still called v2.1). @Darkshine5 you want to reupdate with the link to the new track?

I noticed the slowdown was still there, but it wasnāt in sector 3 so I didnāt feel the need to point it out.
Trying out the latest version has knocked almost 2 seconds off of my total time, if my memory serves me correctly.
yeah it was a pretty big hit going from 31* to 0* like that hahaha
can i use aluminum panels?
From the rules post
āChassis and panels must be steel derivedā
So nope.
My entry has over 100 competetiveness, so I am afraid my car is the best in daily use but again a bad performer on the track.
You have time still if u would like to redo to comply with new rules
Still rocking the 305 or did you swap in a 350?
Itās a small block 350 bored .020" over, of course!
