1:23 around airfield with 1007hp (My car is quite heavy though). Also, am I the only one running a F-AWD car?
Nope, my buffalo is a FAWD and it doesn’t even have turbos.
So, no lip on front? Only a wing or lip on back? I’m curious how someone got downforce on front with no lip.
You can have a lip on either/both ends. The wing just had to be on the back half. I didn’t exclude much, if it isn’t listed then its allowed.
OK. It wasn’t mentioned, so I wasn’t positive if it were allowed at all on front. Thanks!
Who cares what the game thinks? I’m determined to make so much POWAAAAAAAAAH!!!
Yeah… Remember the Stump Puller? This car can actually make use of the extra 2 horsepower. (1.777 Kilostrops) Same internal dimensions though. The Boss 432 can wear many cylinder heads and make plenty of power without blowing apart.
Not going to lie, I thought about trying to shave off one horsepower because then it would be so 'MURICAN.
700+ horsepower at the wheels from a Big Block Chevy. Very healthy Hyper Car score, too.
A Ford 460 crate motor probably wouldn’t fit. I had to shoehorn my motor into the engine bay. Also, I’m perfectly fine with attacking this challenge with sledgehammer like brutality.
I’m glad to see somebody going all out with the powaaaaaaaaa. If we didn’t care what the game thought at all, I’d definitely be shooting for >2000hp (really, I’d want to have submitted Mercury), but I’ve already committed to maximising the deirability…
Maybe I’ll submit my car, and show the trim of the car that I would prefer to make. More power, less weight
hmm
@klinardo
kilostrops… but then… 1 strop=1HP. that’s too small for strop. what about 10hp=1strop?
that means your engine is making 177.7 strops
hehehe
FWIW I maximized desirability after I built the motor. Probably could have found some more points, but I’m well into the triple digits and I’m quite happy with it.

Pretty sure the HP:strops ratio has been established previously.
1:18, 780 HP, Front engined AWD
The joke with the kilo-Strop thing is that Strop is a horse (see avatar: more specifically a ninja horse lol). It’s just a thing.
Also my car is disconcertingly quick around airfield for what it is. Faster than all the times posted so far. And it weighs 1800kg
My track times went down as hypercar competitiveness went up. Therefore I won’t even post my times other than that I ran a 8.70 at Tulsa with an earlier version. The submitted version is still a sub 10 second car because POWAH.

ohhhhhhhhh. i’ve been wondering what that is…
anyway. all the poeple making these post are making me proud of my car’s time
ehehehe
Mine may not be the fastest around the Airfield, but, as strop will probably recognize the motor (and anyone else who followed the BSLL), it’s a terrifying beast, and actually quite capable in a car which was actually designed to handle it. Sure the old M30 was sloppy under it’s power. This car, I assure you, is not.
Well after several attempts to increase the power I’ve revamped the engine and it makes less power, but is better overall for me. I had 1500+, but I just could not recover the competitiveness after the increase. So 1029 it is. I believe it just became much too expensive to get it running and have that much power, for me (I’ll chalk it up to displacement woes). I won’t have anymore tinker time until after the end date and don’t think I personally could get more out of it without a rebuild anyway. So I’m going to send it in and work with what time I have to fix up some other stuff.
I’m happy with it overall as my first competitive hyper car build (I’ve built two other hyper cars before, non-competitive) so this has been an interesting learning experience.
Also I’ll chime in my car pulls a 1:16 on the airfield @ 1855kg (honestly haven’t a clue if I should consider that heavy or not), which seems pretty good based on what I’m seeing. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone’s car for the poll! I just hope my rather clean/plain jane does well in terms of look and desirability when its all said and done.
And here I as planning to make a Hyper car with only 380hp
If it is light enough, I don’t see why not! Truthfully, a hypercar (from myunderstanding) is a very expensive, highly prestigious, low carbon footprint sports car that is fast as lightning. The goal is power, efficiency, prestige, so 380hp with lightweight high-tech materials fits the bill perfectly. Then you’ll just have to tune it. haha
FYI, efficiency doesn’t really enter the equation with my car, as it is pretty much a Corvette ZR1 on steroids, cocaine, and PCP, but with a seatbelt attachment for peace of mind so you can convince yourself you’re not completely batshit crazy for sitting in it…
