Just as the title suggests, would it be possible to import sandbox cars into campaign?
Having a button in the design section to pick a car from sandbox in the current year or earlier to speed up the design stage. That would change it from designing a car from scratch to simply tweaking an existing one to fit with the campaign, and then adding the engineering and production settings to it.
Thanks for posting this! This is something I’ve been hoping would be implemented. I’ve already got many sandbox cars built specifically for the campaign.
Would it work by just copying the files into the zip/archive? Or would the database need adjusting?
How about the other way around?
I doubt it would work. I’m guessing but I would think that the car files for sandbox models would be missing data the lite campaign needs, but you can try for nothing.
I also doubt it would ever formally be implemented. At some point in the future R&D will be in the game. This will mean that your choices will determine what tech is available to your company instead of the default dates in sandbox.
You could end up importing a car using tech you have not research. The devs would have to spend time developing code to prevent this. That or the game will crash or at worse introduced an exploit.
Well then, how are we supposed to cheat properly?
Could it potentially be coded like the engines as of late? Red means it’s not possible due to current parts, yellow when some trims can be used and others can’t, and green when it’s available. I really don’t know if that would take a lot of coding or not to implement, however.
