J.E.C.B (Junior Executive Car Brawl) 14th PLACE RELEASED

THE JUNIOR EXECUTIVE CAR BRAWL

2015 has been a good year for you. You have just earned a promotion that has now given you your own office with your name on the door and a fancy title that isn’t made up. You have decided that you must now upgrade to a car more befitting of your new-found status. Your 20 year old rustbucket that you had had since uni just isn’t going to cut it in the company car park anymore. You weigh up your options but find out that you cannot get the best three cars on the market. Your neighbour had just got a BMW 340i last week which means you can’t get one of those. Your best friend is having his Jaguar XE S delivered next week and the Mercedes-Benz 450 AMG does not come out till next yea. and you can’t have this 50 grand burning a whole in your pocket whilst you struggle with your (t)rusty old hatchback. So what do you do? you decide to look further afield and seek other car manufacturers who can provide what you need. AND FAST! Your yearly inspection on Lil’ Rusty is coming up and you want to get rid of her before that pops up.

How Competition Will Be Scored
Using the criteria below, you must decide what route that you want to take. I will not set any minimum requirements, but the stats will be weighted as such:

Points will be awarded for each stat with the best car receiving the most points whist the worst car would receive the least.
Points will be as follows:
1st : 25 points
2nd : 20 points
3rd : 16 points
4th : 13 points
5th : 11 points
6th : 10 points
7th : 9 points
8th : 8 points
9th : 7 points
10th : 6 point
11th: 5 points
12th: 4 points
13th: 3 points
14th: 2 points
15th: 1 point

The stats will be weighted as shown above and the 3 cars with the highest total scores will receive a review each. The 12 other cars will receive a breakdown of their scores but no review.

I am displeased by your limit on both cubic inches and cylinders, however I think I’ll try and adapte something as the concept is interesting

I Agree, Both cars you used in the example have forced induction, leaving us at a little bit of a disadvantage. Maybe just make NA V8s a choice?

rules say nothing about not allowing Turbos, so…

Yeah, but V6 Turbos are not implemented yet, meaning the only option is an I6 turbo. It’s his choice wether or not to change it, I just think it might diversify the competition a bit.

I didn’t allow v8’s because these cars rarely do come with v8’s unless its the actual performance version (m4, c63). But turbos are allowed and it is possible to make a NA v6 perform well. I just tried to make it realistic rather than have a bunch of v8’s in every car. Also, people have started to submit cars so it would seem kind of unfair to them if the rules change. There is a lot of flexibility in the car you want to create, just under a few regulations rather than minimum stat requirements.

So just to confirm, total cost is NOT part of the scoring, only service costs?

EDIT: I only ask this because almost every other competition scores the total costs as well, tends to make the cheapest cars the “best” cars.

No total cost weighting because the customer has 50 grand regardless and so all the cars must be around that price. Just to make things easier.

PMW proudly presents their part for this contest. The PMW Jumpoff 186 Limo

Here is My Entry to the competition, The Nickel 7 Spec.

Made using only the finest Aluminum body, and using an Engine that weighs 450 Pounds, You might think you are facing a very lighweight peformance sports car. But then you find out it weighs almost 2 Tons. Why? Because 'Murica.

Well, I guess I should show my entry so here it is, the Griffin Teulu LXR:

Not a bad looking car! Someone likes chrome! I cant imagine what it would be like to replace one of those taillight bulbs though…

I would like to present the first publically shown car from Yucatan Manufactura de Coches y Autos.

Starting out in 1942, this company built rugged off-roaders and reliable family cars for years and years. However, on the early 80s, they didn’t follow the trend for ever more refined cars, nearly went bankrupt, and ended up being bought by Baltazar Automoveis, who turned YMCA into the cheap-car arm. The brand went through a major rehaul, phasing out the YMCA name in favour of simply using Yucatan. On the new group, it became the cheap car arm, using old platforms to make budget, entry-level cars. And this is where this car comes. Using the shell and monocoque from the well-regarded 1999 Baltazar Basil, only with panels made of aluminium and a new engine under the hood, the Yucatan Zavala should be a step upmarket for the low-tech, low-rent company.

Disclaimer: This company will soon be on the game, with cars made by me to compete on the off-road segments. I thought I might introduce it to the forums, albeit in a completely different application, just because I couldn’t use the modern big not-XF body :stuck_out_tongue:

here’s Garcia Motor’s entry, the 350

I hope it will still be allowed to enter. IMO there are way too few places in this challenge.

Thank you for entering Tycondero. The reason for only 10 spaces was because this is my first competition and I didn’t know how much interest there would be. I also didn’t know how hard the admin side on my part would be. It isn’t going too bad and so I might make more spaces in another competition using the same format if there is demand for another competition like this.

That grill yells Daewoo to me, lmao.

RoyalStig - Yours looks killer.

I keep seeing MASSIVE fender flares… Going to be a royal pain to park!

The Centauri Neutron, understated luxury for the unassuming professional.
edit due to several export issues and revisions the final product will differ slightly from this image.
