2016 Hwaseung Caelus NOMAD V6
Lore
New for 2016, the third generation Caelus is a new frontier for Hwaseung’s midsized entry into the segment, sporting all-new sheetmetal, a revamped interior, and updated mechanicals. Shown here is the mid-level NOMAD trim, an all-new off-road inspired trim, with a slight suspension lift, added body cladding, tires with thicker sidewalls and a standard viscous twin-clutch full-time AWD system, exclusive to NOMAD models. The NOMAD trim is available with both engines, a 2.0L turbocharged and direct injected inline-4 producing 240 horsepower and 265lb-ft of torque, or a 3.5L naturally aspirated and direct injected V6 making 275 horsepower and 278lb-ft of torque. Regardless of powertrain choice, the only available transmission is a 6-speed automatic with manual shift control, with power being sent to all four wheels. Caelus NOMADs come well equipped, with 8-way heated and power adjustable front seats with 2-person memory, dual-zone climate control, heated and power-folding sideview mirrors, Intelligent Access with push-button start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with an integrated compass and HomeLink, an 8-inch center touchscreen display with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10-speaker audio system, a power liftgate with gesture control, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, a surround view camera system, front and rear parking sensors, automatic emergency braking, and more. The Caelus NOMAD shown here is a V6 model, painted in Aquamarine Green Metallic with the optional 19-inch wheels, and carries an MSRP of $25,000. All Caelus models are built in country, at our Monterrey manufacturing plant.
