1991 IP COLIBRI 2000 GTT-4

One of few remaining pristine examples of this classic rally bred 90s hatchback. 220 hp, turbo and AWD made this a pocket rocket back in the day. 124900 km on the clock, no rust, still wearing its factory “Tampico teal mica” paintjob, electric windows, stereo, ABS, alloy wheels with fresh Tyrellis. $13145 (*).

2003 Tatsuo Caldera GT/4

Photos by @Happyhungryhippo

Details

The Caldera was Tatsuo’s mid-level wagon model, who’s final generation (GT240) ran from 2003 to 2007, being exclusively a JDM product. While the previous two generations were more “Recreational Vehicle” focused (think Subaru Outback), this third generation was now marketed as a true sport wagon. This example, a GT/4, is equipped with the turbocharged 2.0L G3-GTE, producing 261 hp @ 6000 RPM and 242 lb-ft of torque. Coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission, the GT/4 brings some sporting flair, with 17" alloy wheels, a TRG body kit, Torsen rear LSD, retuned suspension, and Tatsuo’s 4-Trac 4WD system. You can get yours for $13,703.

2012 Mara Xenia 1.6 LRS

Despite being designed to be anything except a sports car, the Mara Xenia’s combination of its Regular base trim with the optional Sport pack ended up coming quite close to a purist driving experience for a bargain price on its debut in 2012… if one did not mind FWD, that is.

Available RS body styles were hatchback (pictured), sedan and wagon, but not the crossover.

‘Flag yellow’ was the default colour for S trims, hinting at but not quite matching the shade of yellow used by the AMM performance models, or by the Xenia’s pre-predecessor’s 90s touring car.

2008 Phénix Alcyone 2500 Sport

In 2008 Phénix introduced the new kid on the block - the Alcyone! The cool hot hatch was there to stay, and this 2.5L Sport edition brought 200hp to the table, a 6-speed stick, and aluminium chassis coming from the performance racing division. Also came as a Coupe liftback.

Phénix did not release a ton of non-sport/racing cars over the years, but the Alcyone was filling a popular niche at the time and Phénix still had a legacy of affordable fun rides over the years starting with the Metro in the 60s.

This used car has less than 90,000 km on the book and still is in impeccable condition with it’s Volcano Orange color and 17in alloy rims. Rust will never be an issue with this car and no accidents were ever reported. Lived all its life in a garage. This is a rare RHD edition for the JDM and UK market.

It can be yours for about 18,000 AMU.

Valvida Emos VSR

(Designed by @vouge, engineered by @Tsundere-kun)

Before my presence lies the Valvida Emos, its magnificence reminds me of the beautiful sands of Arrakis, its sanctitude. I am beset by choices, the gentle and civilised 1.5 litre 4 cylinder engine or the untamed 2.5 litre 6 cylinder engine, its wrath rivals the mighty sandworms within Arrakis, trembling heaven and earth in its wake. Only the strong and the chosen may control such abomination. I must not fear, for fear is the mind killer.

For sale: 1990 Famal Myria GTI

9000 pounds (negotiable)
1990 / 78 000 miles
1598 cc / 139 hp / petrol
FWD / Manual 5
Hatchback 3D / 4 seats

Looking for a classic pocket rocket? Look no further, this French blue thing is just the essence of that. Under 900 kilos, tight handling, revvy N/A 1.6 making nearly 140 hp - all you need to have fun, really. It WILL keep up with some much newer hot hatches, even on straights, trust me. The one I’m selling is a rare case of an old GTI that hasn’t been crashed or trashed. There were some occasional track days, but it’s all in great condition, with no rust either. It’ll need some fresh oil rather soon, and the clutch is getting weak, but that’s all. Tyres should be good for another season. MOT valid for 8 months.

All in that GTI blue, optional Paonner audio, A/C and power steering, other than that it’s all standard GTI spec - viscous LSD, 15" alloys, ABS, blue/black fabric seats.

I prefer text, but if you wanna call me do it after 6 PM.

OOC: oui, Myria has a spicy version too. However, this is not technically a recycled QFC entry - the QFC entry was recycled this in fact, as I made the GTI first. This is a bit of a wildcard, as I don’t think that this is the best for the given cool wall, and also it’s not really optimal given the budget and priorities, but I really wanted to enter something, but I didn’t have time to build sth from the ground up and this is close enough. And I just wanna see how it does, I like this car :stuck_out_tongue:

1981 Joliette Duchesse S2 Turbo

For £17,940 you can get step into the exclusive club of Joliette owners, the storied French brand known to balance performance and luxury. While the Duchesse was indeed the brand’s entry-level offering and arguably the cheapest car they ever built, it still features a sumptuous leather interior with 2+2 seating and more than respectable performance for the era. This 1981 is the first year of the série 2 that introduced the Turbo model, pushing the updated I6 up to 200 hp and giving the car a 0-100 km/h time of 6.7s with a top speed of 247 km/h. Other than the performance that can still hold up to some modern sporty models, this car also features the optional Turbo graphics with rare ‘Twilight Brown Mica’ paint.

2010 Waldersee Attache K20K

A collaboration with @Maxbombe

So you want a luxury-branded car for a reasonable price, but don’t want to be called cheap or boring? Look no further than this Attache K20K.

The superturbocharged hot hatch from 12 years ago (yet looking nearly new today) that’s got class and kicks ass - complete with a sub-6 second 0-60 and an above-30 mpg fuel economy. Includes adaptive damping, satellite navigation and even real front downforce.

Yours courtesy of Waldersee Bristol for just AM$16.500.

How about a 2020 Pennant Dash I5? Top of the budget range at $17,900, but with modern safety and reliability built in. A naturally aspirated I5 puts out 192 horsepower, with sport tires and advanced automatic selectable transmission.
